The only thing an SRI does is makes more noise. Though the intake tract is straightened and shortened, those benefits are offset by the significantly increased IATs because the filter sits INSIDE the engine bay.

CAI > SRI.

I must say youll feel the noise more than the power gain. If you think your car is so much faster, its all in your head (plus the noise). Your engine bay will look a lot cooler though.

I have both the Injen CAI and Injen CAT back super ses exhaust system and there is a noticeable diff. in power, not like forced induction or anything but still noticeable over stock. As for intakes, and exhausts, i did my research before I bought... Injen out performed the others, and it is specifically tuned for the tC. this means it works with the valve timing w/o having to adjust it. And if you have a screwdriver & a few wrenches you can do it. Only one thing, make damn sure you dont let anything into the open throttlebody during install, or you will regret it. if you want any tips, just IM me here and I'll help you out.

one more note... the Injen system comes made with the necessary hardware to do either a short ram or full CAI intake set up. if your car is a daily driver, I would suggest doing only a short ram as maintenence is much easier and the full CAI setup only will net you 1-2 extra hp, and you wont have to take the inside wheel guard off each time you want to clean the filter, and you wont risk getting moisture into the intake if you do a short ram. there is a hole in the fender in the engine bay after you remove the stock intake that lets it breathe plenty of fresh cooler air.

The Injen CAI and Injen Exhaust combo is the bomb. I love how they both sound together.

If you install it, read the sections on VSC lights going off. Many have reported problems with their trouble lights after a intake installation. I got the matching AEM CAI that was offered by Toyota for the RS2. It allowed me to have a Toyota part in case there was any sort of warranty question nonsense.

Ive heard stories like that too. With the most CAI's fir the tC theres no way your intake is going to suck in water unless your driving in like 2 feet or water. Ive hit many of puddles and driven through heavy rain and deep puddles and my intake doesnt get wet at all. Theres a pic somewhere on here that shows the front bumper of a tC removed with an CAI and you can see how far from the ground it is, and its protected by the black plastic guards underneath the bumper.
