Oh Robin!
I was so sad to hear this happened to you guys! Just when you needed your deck to work the best for you too! Ugh!
Well, please let us know if we can help in any way at all...as a club, or individually you know we're there for you!

Glass is going to be pretty pricey from the few quotes I've gotten. Dirty rotten theives!!

Thanks for the support everyone!!
you'd think the broken window would be covered by the insurance company. i'm sure you could get someone to let you borrow their deck for the comp. i already told my buddy who does SPL what happened to your car.

We've had so many offers from people to let me borrow a H/U; the support has been fantastic! Unfortunately, with the limited amount of time to get something mailed, installed & tuned properly, I just don't see it happening. The DRZ had internal processing; many of the H/Us offered do not which will make or break your competitiveness.

New window gets installed today! (Although I need a new windshield too, that'll wait until the snow/rock season ends!) The car needs a good cleaning too. Between glass & finger print dust...she needs some TLC!!

Thanks again, friends!!

When my car got broken into, insurance covered everything from the broken window & tint, interior detailing, even a new carbon fiber dash kit because they scratched the center dash piece when they yanked the HU out.

Yeh, it might be well worth the $500 deductible to speak to them about covering it all...especially since your car is so well documented with photos of what it had in it.
I don't know about your insurance, but mine told me that they don't raise your insurance rates unless you put in a claim over $1500. If yours is the same, then you could maybe at least get the new head unit covered and take care of the rest yourself if you have to?

Yea it's totally worth it! And its not like you have to pay $500... they just take it off of the amount you get. My insurance didn't even want pictures or anything, even tho I offered to send some.
