why is our weather so jacked up?
I know i'm usually not very serious around here, but please allow me a moment.
last night i finally watched 'an inconvenient truth', and i was blown away. the thought crossed my mind that the warmer temperatures in the pacific that we are attributing our heavy snow patterns to may actually be part of a much bigger pattern.
if you get a chance, you should see the movie.

Ok. Yeah, we've been having some strange weather here too (KS). Of cousre KS is know for it's weird weather (75 degrees one day, 20 the next) but it's been around 15-20 dregrees warmer then average all winter. In fact, today it's in the mid 50s when it's supposed to be more like 30s.
NOAA finally acknowledged 'global warming' officially yesterday...

Isn't the US doing better then Europe? I heard that we are but maybe I'm wrong. We need to get other countries like China on board before it will make a dent.
I'm not much of a tree hugger either. Because if I start with a tree.... I want to go all the way with it.

well, apparently the US is responsible for the lion's share of the carbon emissions. we may be taking more action than other countries, but not if you consider our percentage of the emissions. i think if that was stated, it was spin.
The US is the only one of two industrialized nations not to ratify the 'kyoto accord'
