wyoming?
Hi everybody, im moving to (southern)laramie, wyoming in 2 months, i was just curious if anyone around there had scions, denver is only 2 hours away. Also, nice to meet everyone!
you will hate your life after moving to wy for wyotech if you have any automoive back round you are better off just getting a job, and its damn cold i mean you can go all week and the all time high will be 0 deg
I have an Aunt, Uncle, and four cousins that live in Laramie. It isn't THAT bad you guys! ...and Wyotech IS one of the best mechanic's schools to go to. You make your life what it is! It's not where you live that counts, ESPECIALLY because of the internet! You can do whatever you want online these days, ya' know?
I've actually heard really good things about Wyotech from my technicians and others.
Laramie can actually be a really fun town. I have a bunch of friends there and the fireworks are plentiful. Unfortunately, I think it's more like 3 hours to Denver, but I could be wrong (it's been a while since I made the trip).
Make sure you stick around in the summer for Jubilee Days. It's one giant drunken street party downtown. Lots of fun and a good atmosphere.
Good luck!

So you must FLY on the roads too, huh? LOL
We live in Greeley (northern Colorado), and it takes us at least an hour to get to Denver every time we go (every weekend lately!).

but congrats on going and have fun.
I have a neighbor two doors down from us that went there too! Maybe you guys went at the same time Pirate!
But he said it was really good, and he seems happy with what he is doing now...I guess it all depends on what you take from the experience, and what your plans are when you finish.
Either way, we're not too far away in northern Colorado, so if you are wanting to hang out with some cool people, you should come down to Greeley or Fort Collins sometime when we're having a gathering of the clubs in the north!
Otherwise, if you can make the drive down to MC's pizza on Saturday nights, we all hang there alot too...

I don't make bad money, my point was only don't get your hopes up to high becuase those reps make some promises that aren't true. I love what I do even though my dream is to be in the custom field (wich is why I went to wyotech) but I still have fun at my job and if I did it all over again I wouldn't change a thing.
my advice is to enjoy yourself and get out as much as you can, have fun, study hard cause the info can come a little a fast. If I did do it different I would have concentrated a little more on my studies and tried harder to get perfect attendance. its a huge reward if you can do it but is diffucult. I also still have all my notes and studies from all the classes I took so if you need some help or just have a few questions about automotive feel free to shoot me a e-mail or pm and I will be glad to help you out. again have fun make the most of the expierance, study hard and good luck....................
