So in case anyone has an exhaust leak, exhaust wrap is good for a temporary fix
(i'm still leaking air, but much less)
JB weld sucks at high temps, its turns to dust (literally).
All the autozone/pepboys crap stuff for the exhaust repair is trash for use on the manifold, probably would only help with down pipe/s-pipe/catback for a little while.
Waiting on the hi-temp lab metal epoxy, this week, hopefully it'll have different results.

who told you jb weld is good for using it as an exhuast leak repair. that stuff is mostly for leaky trannys and blocks.. for temp fixes in metal cracks
what you should have done is used this

^^ runs about a few bucks and u can get it at any autozone/pepboys/ etc etc...
find the one that says high temp copper and get the one for 500+ degrees of heat or higher...
let it cure for a few hours.. thats it
...i would also advise using a copper gasket... u can also use a copper gasket in conjunction with the sealer... you should also make sure both flanges are completely even and str8.. if not they will never seal and you will always have a leak.

I have a thick copper gasket in between the turbo and the manifold. I think the gasket is as even as possible. From what I can see. The bolts are torqued down as much as I could.
I'll buy that hi-temp copper sealant today, and test it out. Since the other stuff I ordered won't be here until some time this friday/saturday.
If none of that works, i'll take out the manifold & turbo in january, check/replace gasket, and torque it down at a shop.

Dont worry i believe you, i meant it in the way that even though you have instructions for every step, things dont always go as planned...at least for me things never work out perfect..

I just went to pepboys during my lunch break. I got the hi-temp copper gasket sealer. I'll probably put it on around 8pm, and let it cure until tomorrow 8am. I hope thats long enough for it to cure, some take 15hrs.
After that seals, i'll put the exhaust wrap around it for extra support, and to keep temps down =D
So lets see if this works this time. Either way i'm having fun boosting (with a smaller air leak) right now lol.
When is dyno day???
How many dyno run???
How long do they usually last???
Just wondering, so I can tune some areas on the fuel map I haven't been able to hit.
Street tuning takes some time to get it justttt right, but i'm happy with the results so far.
Hey if I had a dual exhaust, I probably would have had double flames

you might have to do the dyno tuning on a different day. i think dyno days are only for baseline runs (just see how much power you're putting down). im just assuming this because a dyno tune can take a few hours.

You know it could definitely work. I'd be willing to try it once at least, for ***** and giggles.

Oh well at least I see how much my car is putting to the wheels.
