Update: I realized today that I left my tow hook at home. So i had someone drive me to the local toyota place (which didn't have any new scions on the lot) to ask for a favor since my car has to be placed on a flatbed tomorrow.

I noticed that they had a white tC on the used lot and asked if they would lend it to me for the tow tomorrow. The toyota dealership (Germain Toyota) was very kind and offered to lend it to me for free. I gave them a copy of my drivers license and my cell number. I also asked if they had a preferred Tow company. The man called a tow company and got me a price of $65 for tomorrow. He then said on the phone "Hey, I got this kid here. He's a real nice guy and stuck in Naples. He can only afford to pay $50 for the tow, can you do that". Sure enough, the tow truck driver agreed to a $50 tow. I was impressed.

The guy that had been helping me also told me that the used car manager offered me a trade value as if there was nothing wrong with my car without even seeing it. He said no matter if it is only a couple hundred to fix it or a couple of thousand.

I feel like I finally have some options now...or at least I feel like I'm not getting pooped on at the moment. I hope everyone has fun at VIP and I am greatful to the scionlife community for lending a helping hand.

A special thanks to Leslie at Hollywood Toyota/Scion for calling me yesterday. I really feel like you went the extra mile to try to help.

Thanks. After spending the whole day at the dealership, all that has been figured out is that there is a short in the ignition system. They spent the day tracing the wire to find where the short is. I have to stay in Naples and miss yet another day of work. My jury duty was postponed until next monday.

This is so frustrating. I was even running numbers on a used non-scion.

On a side note, thank you so much leslie. You rock! Hopefully something will get straightened out tomorrow.

I feel fortunate for that.... because that should be covered under the powertrain warranty right?

yesterdays pics^

I'm happy that the tow operator was concerned about my front bumper and exhaust and placed boards down instead of dragging it.
