If the guy went there and wanted the stuff done that's one thing. However, the shop should have told him, 'hey, in order to do this right you need, x, y, z and if you don't have the money right now, we suggest you save for a little while to get the rest because we don't want to do this without doing it 100% right the 1st time".

The guy may not have known completely what the additional components do and how they are safety features, etc. He may have known of them but did he really know about them, I doubt had he known about them, he would have continued with the install and that's what the shop should tell their customer.

The shop is a reflection of what they turn out, not what the customer comes in asking for, when they might not know the entire story behind what they really need done.

You can't just slap a turbo on and say here's your car back. You need to let them know up front and if they're trying to cheap out or simply disregard what you're telling them tell them to take their business elsewhere because we're not going to be held liable nor do we want bad press because you blew your car up.

With that being said Pete, I need a shop in GA that can tune the F/IC....preferably around Atlanta...what/who do you know?

I'm not in Atlanta right now, i'm in Auburn, Atlanta is just the closest major city.

I was thinking about Ptuning but that's a hell of a road trip....about 12 hours.

OUCH!!!.... well i can only say it would be worth it... but wow 12 hours is a long drive... if you could trailer your car that would be great.. but other then that... i dont know... try some local forums fo ryour area.. if not.. NASIOC as a good south eastern region area.. maybe they have a good tuner close by

So if you went to the shop to swap ur auto to manual and you brought them in a tranny only and they installed it w.o the rest of the parts.. wouldint that be a bad idea?

A shop should make every recomendation to you as possible.. I mean not even touching the fact that its a sale to keep them alive lol!

I my self herd nothing but ____ about them. I know a friend of mine who had there car built there and they couldint even get it running.
