Default lovebugs!!

Ok, so the past few days I have noticed one of the banes of living in Florida... lovebugs! Yes, it is nearly fall and there are friggin lovebugs again... where the freak did they come from all of a sudden?!

I was washing the car yesterday, and they were all flying on me, around me, and I was fighting to keep them out of my wash and rinse buckets. There was even a splattered one of my front fender

By the time I was done rain-x'ing, dressing the tires, and cleaning the glass, there were probably about 10-12 dead lovebugs that had decided to commit suicide in both my buckets of water. wtf?

I hate lovebugs, they're so stupid, have sex all the time, and try to fly on everything and everyone. Why are they so freakin stupid? If there was a weapon of mass destruction to kill such creatures, I'd use them

But why would these come back so late in the year? lovebugs =

Yeah, i hate them too. At the back of my work, we have a warehouse and there's always like a hundred dead lady bugs on the ground in front of the "garage" door...it's like they all commited suicide by running into it or something. Also, when i was driving to work, i drove through a cloud of them that came out of no where....my explorer was a nasty sight to see. So i think the worst area is over there by Lee Vista Blvd.

ok... so I came back from a relatively long drive near Bithlo and stuff... actually, near Chuluota (sp?)... if any of you have ever gone down that way, you know its one of those places where bugs are probably all over the place.

SOMEHOW, I have gone this entire week without a single smashed bug on my car (just watch it happen now lol), and even thorugh this drive. I went twice in opposite directions through this place!

I do have these tiny, tiny, tiny moth looking things smashed up in a few places... wiped them off with a damp MF. I'll try to squeeze in some time to wash the car tommorow.

I'm so surprised my front isn't covered in bugs!

Default UGH!

My thunder mist metalic xB looks hideous! I drove from Mobile to Tallahassee and back in a twenty four hour period and had to stop at each and every rest stop to take advantage of thier windshield washer service! I didn't realize how bad the front looked until I went out into the parking lot this morning. I told everyone that several thousands of love bugs committed suicide on my windshield for the sake of their love.

Imagine two black winged bugs with one large red dot on their backs, each about the size of a grain of sand, connected at the ends (hence the "love" part). Don't sound too bad, right? Now imagine swarms of them EVERYWHERE! So now the front of my xB is coated with the carcasses of bugs who died how many of us would like to...

even with my RS1 front lip installed on the car, I was able to ghetto rig my OEM front end bra to the bumper of the tC this afternoon for my trip back to orlando from PSL. In addition I also painters taped the a-pillars and the mirrors. car looks great considering the trip and the lovebug season in full force! well... except for the windshield

Lovebugs swarm twice a year for a week ot two. They come out of the ground so there is no practical way to exterminate them. They're not normally this bad, something must have gone horribly wrong.

^^ well, those aren't lovebugs man!

they're those stupid moth things, which is what I get once in a while if I travel for more than my 15 minutes commute to school...

I think the lovebugs are dying down, or maybe I've just gotten used to them? I think I've just gotten used ot them, weird.

Hey man do you see that truck outside the student union everyday? It's a rental and COVERED in lovebugs (the front, obviously)! its pretty bad and funny at the same time
