Default NOVEMBER 10 2012 Simply Clean Daytona/Ormond Beach

Simply Clean/ Destination Daytona/ Ormond Beach $5/person/ Pavement parking for all
It’s that time of year again to gather all car enthusiats to one location for a special day of meeting new people, showing off your ride and helping the needy. Yup, you heard right… HELPING THE NEEDY. We are so blessed to have a fourth installment of our Simply Clean event that we have decided to pick an organization to give back to. “Pathways To Care, a program of Catholic Charities of Central Florida, is a not-for-profit assisted Living facility which provides recuperative care to homeless men & women recovering from an acute illness of injury.” With over 3,000+ people in attendance at SC3, we know that we can help make those in need have a great Thanksgiving by collecting your donations of canned goods and non perishable foods.
We are also happy to announce that we have moved the location to a huge complex in Ormond Beach called Destination Daytona. It has its very own hotel on the property for that up close and personal experience along with a few shops, restaurants and a bar to knock back a few brew’s with the homies. We’re positive you will be just as excited about it as we are!!!!!
Come on out and experience what we believe in which is having a great time with friends and those alike. We can guarantee that it will be more than worth the drive if you love what we do. No trophies, no competing for 1st place and definitely no drama! Just taking it back to the basics of meeting new people, drinking beer and talking about cars.

General principles of arriving at meets and shows

In a discussion about another car meet, my answer mentioned Simply Clean. I thought it appropriate to post it here.-Bob

General principles of arriving at meets and shows
Everyone has their own opinion.....
As a general principle, people who want their cars to look the best will always arrive early, get the best parking spot, do the last minute little detail things, wipe things off, Armorall the tires, etc. and set up for display.

People who want to get a good parking space will always arrive early.

People who just want to hang out, wait to be sure that people
will be there. They arrive two hours late, park too far away, leave their hood closed and cluster around their buddies...... LOL ,,,,this is based on what I see at a lot of meets that I go to.....LOL
-------------------------------------------------
An example is Simply Clean, (to be held in Ormond Beach on Nov 10 2012) At SC2/2010, it started at 10AM. I was there at 9AM........and the line was four blocks long, wrapping around the restaurant.

For SC3 in 2011, I arrived at 8AM and all the pavement parking was taken. I parked in a grass field with 450 cars! By the time I had looked at 800 cars, I had worked around to the entrance and a guy was just walking in the entrance saying: "I parked a mile away..." I looked down the road........and he WAS a mile away!
There were 3,000 people there that day and 1,000 cars.

So for this year: SC4......I'm going to be early.
---------------------------------------------------
Straight up.....probably that church won't get 1,000 cars. But just in case......arriving early is always a good idea......if you are asking me.... -Bob
