Default Pix of my tC accident

I basically rear ended and Brand New SRT-8 Jeep when he slammed on the breaks and my car skid completely into the back of him. No ABS kickin in, and no tickets were issued. In all technicalities, I should have got a ticket, but the officer was cool. It was at a slow speed, like 25ish. No airbags deployed and the car was able to drive home somehow. So here's the pix.

The insurance is taking care of it all. I still have a deductable. I was thinking of a CF hood, but my insurance will not right me a check for the estimated amount. They only pay the repair shop.

Ask the repair shop what the diff in cost would be for the CF hood. They should be able to quote it.

You'll probably find that the CF hood is cheaper since there is no body/paint work to do on it. In the past the insurance company write the driver a check and he/she pays whomever does the work.

You might want to get a few quotes and make sure you get the best damn work possible, which could happen to be the most expensive.

sry to hear about your collision and im glad youre okay and have insurance. ive been near collisions and my abs works perfectly fine. and so would the airbags under specific conditions. your manual shows you how the airbag sensors work for those complaining about that.

anyway, it seems as you were tailgating the guy since ure saying ur abs didnt work. these are new cars... abs will work fine... yes i know there are lemons and cars with minor defects, however, i doubt that was the case since it always coincidentally is. a lot of people, especially those under the demographic of bad drivers(16-25yrs of age) can't drive. they think cars will do whatever the driver wants in any condition. a lot of people dont take physics, gravity, weather conditions into consideration when driving... you cant go 100mph, floor your brake pedal, and expect your abs brakes to stop instantly.

if you wouldve been following with proper distance, you wouldnt have hit that truck. im just saying... it soudns like ur blaming your collision on your car... good luck and drive safe.
