Default Rat rod XA - wheel help please

I have a 2005 XA that I am giving that old school look. I'm having trouble with the wheels getting them look traditional. So far I've painted them red which helps, but I'm looking for the baby moons. Here are some pics of the car with my bar cruiser. Any help would be much appreciated.

I'm sure I am missing the point of the look you are going for.... but I figured I'd throw a friends set of wheels up.

I know she is trying to sell them

hmmm.. I think it will look good with silver grey painted steelies with the center caps and the rim trim too if you are looking for that old school look.

Jorge. do you thing the 1982 Corolla steelies fit the xA? Those used to have the center cap and the rim trim. I don't know, just an idea. Later.

You should go to one of our Thursday night meets. Every now and then we get a good group there at Sonic, International drive.

The Rat Rod look is traditionally red rim, chrome center cap. I think that Celica center caps might fit XA steelies also. I'll try to check out your next meet. Sounds fun.

get some fat whitewalls and chrome dome hubcaps. then do a side exhaust and replace the door handles with old school refrigerator handles.

Whitewalls for that size rim are hard to find. Trust me. We've looked it up.

The true RatRod style was use anything you had and make it work. I seen old coke cans used pots, pans, wood, and anything eles you can name on the old true ratrods ( before 1950 ) The first ratrods was kids that could only afford old junck cars in the 30's and 40's like T buckets and such and had no money to fix them right so they used what they had. Now around the 1950's they started to do mods to them for speed and thats where the flat black and red came into play.
