Scion EXPOSED 2.0 Invades Dolphins Stadium in Miami
Racing Sensation Christian Rado, Hundreds to Gather at Owners’ Event
Deerfield Beach, Fla. – Southeast Toyota Distributors, LLC (SET) announces that Scion EXPOSED is returning to Florida with “Urban Disturbance,” a Miami-style celebration of Scion enthusiasts on Saturday, January 21 from Noon to 5:00 p.m. at Dolphins Stadium in Miami, Fla.
Scion EXPOSED 2.0 is completely free, open to the public and marks the second installment of the only official Scion owners’ event in the Southeastern United States. “Urban Disturbance” features WORLD Racing Inc. superstar Christian Rado, who will sign autographs and discuss the latest trends in Scion racing, a Show n’ Shine contest with prizes including Best-in-Show, raffle giveaways, free food, interactive games, music and much more. The Southeast is currently the number one region in Scion sales for the entire United States.
“Scion EXPOSED is back after a successful inaugural event last spring in Daytona,” said Tom Beddia, director of Scion Operations for Southeast Toyota. ‘Urban Disturbance’ will bring hundreds of tricked-out Scions, trend-setting youth and the spirit of individuality to the hottest city in the Southeast.
“This is another opportunity to say ‘thank you’ to all of our loyal owners throughout the Scion community,” continued Beddia. “Participants who want to learn more about Scion can check out the latest models and discover the fellowship that exists among owners.”
Registration begins at 9:00 a.m. and the activities kick off at noon. More than 1,200 people and 500 vehicles from across the United States are expected to take over Dolphins Stadium, making it one of the largest EXPOSED events to date. The public can register by logging on to www.scion.com/exposed.
Christian Rado, a professional import drag racer since 1998, is in tune with the newest developments in automotive performance. Scion enthusiasts are often drawn to Rado and his crew at WORLD Racing for technical advice and insight into this exciting new culture. Rado will show off his latest project, a 2006 tC with 1500 horsepower, destined to bring home a racing championship for Scion.
Scion owners recognize the importance of customization and freedom to express their creativity. At EXPOSED 2.0, they will have a chance to hype their rides during the event’s Show ‘N Shine contest. Awards and prizes will be given to winners in eight unique categories: Best-in-Show; Best-in-Class (xA, xB and tC); Best Exterior; Best Interior; Longest Distance Traveled; Best Use of Company Vehicle; Best Use of Personalization; and Best Release Series (xA, xB or tC).
The Best-in-Show winner receives a customized Scion trophy and cash prize of $500. Winners in the remaining categories receive a trophy and cash prize of $250. The contest begins at noon and winners will be announced at 4:30 p.m. at the main tent.
The event will feature several customized Scions with mind-bending accessories and body styles that are often found only at national car shows and automotive events. Representatives from XM Satellite Radio, Borla, Enkei Wheels, Invision Entertainment and other automotive companies will provide amazing raffle prizes and demonstrate the latest technologies in audio/video, body paint and parts accessories.
Attendees will get their groove on as local DJs spin the latest hip-hop, dance beats, and Miami’s Latin flavors. Airbrush artists will ink up anyone interested in styling their bodies for the day and a video game lounge will provide hours of Microsoft X-Box excitement.
