SET's xB Build off
AKA - Scion Pro's Vs. Club Joes
To give you guys some background, South East Toyota wanted to do a campaign to promote the xB, so thinking out side of the box they felt building two incredible show cars would be the best way to do this and stir some buzz at the same time.
However, instead of having the suits slap all kinds of TRD crap on them they decide to give two vehicles to two teams of individuals and have some fun with them.
Therefore Scion Pro's vs. Club Joes was born. The two teams are comprised of individuals from Georgia and Florida further deepening the rift between these two friendly teams.
For team Scion Pros you have;
Steve Saporito of Scionpro.com
Ivan Garneff, owner of the UM / UF Lunchbox
Both have worked with Scion in some capacity continuously since its inception.
For team Club Joes you have;
Brant Good of Scikotics
Chris Patterson (nighthawk) - Scikotics
David Hickman (BoxRod) - Scinergy
Christie Hickman (Bride of BoxRod) - Scinergy
Geoffrey Wright (Baine aka Ducky)- Scinergy
Lil' Dave (morningman) - Scinergy
Our mission:
Build our respective xB's using only the money provided to us from SET and complete the vehicles by 10/03/2009.
I wanted to let you all know that we just started a Facebook page for this build. So for those of you that are on there, add us as a friend and enjoy the trash talking and picture updates of the builds.
Our page is;
xb build off
Thanks and enjoy the build off ..
Ivan

Nice project Ivan. is this gonna be a trend type thing or just this one time?? I am sure everyone will be interested in how this pans out between the 2 friendly rivals. Good luck to the Pro's FTW.

I am hoping it becomes a repeat offense, however already we are running into problems beyond our control.
For example, here you have two teams made up of many individuals who are having to work hard and together often from different geographic locations to accomplish a goal.
We are doing this aside from our 9-5 jobs under tight rules and timelines for nothing more than the opportunity and yet we are struggling to get these incredible machines recognized at an event like SEMA.
Why??
Space is the #1 claim at the moment, however IMHO, we have never seen east coast vehicles represent Scion and it may be a trend "they" are trying to preserve.
Well after that little nugget, I guess I can expect the black helicopters to begin hovering over my house, so it's been nice knowing you all .. lol

ON what? The xB Steve and I are building? This thing is coming together really well, on eof the smoothest builds I have ever been a part of. I give credit to the fact that Steve and I have been on the same page since day 1.

Scion pros Hands down! It has way more craftmanship and more custom mods and most of all. Doesnt look like anyone could have built it.
Just compare the Grills.. Scion Pros. has on custom made one off Grill where as the other one has a grill that you can buy anywhere
The other car is nice and clean but any average Joe could have built that.
Awsoem job guys!

To tough to decide! The Pro's XB has an awsome theme. A modern day board hauler that has all the cool one off touches. A SEMA show stopper. You would expect no less from Ivan and Steve. The Joe's XB is what everyone would love thier XB's to turn out like. Great stance, wheels, interior, sound system and a detailed engine. A practical daily driver that could win at shows too. I'd take either. Great jobs on both.
We would all love to see the same thing done for the XD's and TC's!
