That is the same weekend as slamfest show

 

correct, slamfest is a mini truck show (that is open to everyone but if your ride is not bagged or juiced it will be out of place) and i have been told by EVERYONE that the show really sucked last year. every person i have talked to that shows a toyo/lex/scion in the tampa area will be going to SR and not fest...

 

Yes SLamfest used to be one of the greatest shows on earth, and I am not into lowriders/minitrucking like that.

I have heard through many people as well that the show last year was nowhere near years past. And with the severe lack of promo for it this year, I am worried it may be "NOPI'ed". I truly hope not though!

Don't take this as a negative against Sibling Rivalry, I have yet to attend Sibling Rivalry but have several freinds that have gone and had a BLAST! However, I did attend Slamfest last year and had a great time and even took home some hardware.

As I stated above, I went to Slamfest last year, as did my wife with her tC. We had a great time and, as usual, were acceppted by everyone showing regardless of what they were driving. Was it as big as years past, No, but it was still an amazing mixture of tuners, scions, minitrucks, 4x4's, donks, bubbles, you name it! Even both of the local Toyota/Scion dealerships were there with cars and trucks supporting the scene.

In my opinion (like it or not) if you can't make it to Sibling Rivalry try and get to Slamfest it's a great show!

 

with the cost of gas and such i think i am going to stay local and attend slamfest maybe this time i don't have to be a vendor.. lol sorry JP you know i have much love your KPT.. and you all Jax folks.

hmmmm well we will have to see once the date is closer. i may have to sleep in the box if i come up, i am not a night owl, so i get tired once the sun goes down. that is if i decide to go to it.
