I'm at about 2500 miles.

I usually change it every 3k miles religiously.

I <3 my engine too much.

Not to mention a new pair of spark plugs, since i've finally been able to clean up the idle. They are worth changing now.

I checked out the plugs over the weekend..... Those bastards were fouled as hell, so thats getting ordered this friday.

But the car runs pretty good regardless. So i'll run what I brung ^^

brett is that a 15" rim?? is that the exact same sized tire i posted?? the one for sale is a 15x8.5x24.5 ...thats look like a 17" rim?? maybe??

can you post up the exact size of the rim u where using and the tire size??

also how was the launching?? was it rough.. did u stall?? launched higher in the rpms? ive launch my old car on drags but never on slicks...

the rims are custom 15x8 weld rims with m&h 15x8.5x24.5 slicks that i bought from leslie durst.

i've never launched that hard on them, for fear of breaking my stock axles. best 60' so far is a 1.89.

nice!! thats my same concern about launching on the slicks.. i dont wana replace the axles!!! also my rims are 6.5 wide 45 offset which makes me worry about rubbing... i might just avoid slicks all together and go with KDW's or toyo ra1's ... but i need to sell some of my junk parts before going that route.. the rims currently have 195/60/15 potenza's which MIGHT be good on traction but i doubt it.

10 flat is my average... only once a 9.9 ...ill be shooting for 10 flat again or under 9.8 ...

 

for track use. i only run my slicks. i think there a little safer than dr's because of the flex in the sidewall. this puts less strain on the axles. theres not as much give in dr's.

as for those rims. craigslist them ____s hommie. here are some 15x8, 5x100mm bolt pattern rims for slicks.

lol im not dropping money into new wheels.. the EMR racings i have are super light.. plus i dont track much so i know id be trowing money away. mostly these are gonna be weekend switch up wheels but with some bite on the tire in case i get the occasional call out. 400 bucks on rims is nice but no way in the budget lol

 

I'll try to head out there Friday night. I'd like to see how I hold up against some modded tC's. Last time I was out there I was running 10.0 to 10.2 ETs.

Thats was like after my 12th try, lol.

A 1/2 hour before they were closing, I got in 4-5 runs.

Because most of the time was spent waiting in line >.<

 

as long as the weather is good and ppl get there around 7-7:30... u should be able to get atleast 5 runs minimum.

 

Don't forget to wear jeans and shoes everyone.

Leave the high heels and mini skirts/dresses at home =D
