Scion limited-edition Absolutely Red xB Release Series 6.0 available in February
Like a junior fire engine ready to spring into action, the first limited-production Scion for 2009, the xB Release Series 6.0 (or xB R.S. 6.0), will be available at dealer showrooms in February.

The 2009 xB Release Series 6.0 comes adorned in an exclusive Absolutely Red exterior color, complemented by a unique front grille with custom black finish and Release Series wheel covers. To further distinguish the limited-production xB, a color-keyed rear spoiler will be available as an option.

Inside, the crimson-themed xB features a touch-screen Pioneer Audio Visual Navigation (AVN) head unit with flash memory, voice recognition, MSN Direct, and Bluetooth®. For media player flexibility, the AVN unit boasts USB, SD card, and iPod connectivity. The Pioneer AVN head unit is also satellite radio- and HD Radio®-ready, and will play DVDs and iPod videos when the vehicle is in park. In addition, users can select from over 32,000 colors to customize the 5.8-inch high-resolution WVGA LCD touch-panel display.

The Absolutely Red motif is represented in the xB’s cabin with color-tuned four-in-one interior lights, R.S. 6.0 illuminated door sills, and accented interior trim and color-tuned seat fabric. The xB R.S. 6.0 will also be equipped with a cargo cover.

Like Scion’s other R.S. lines, the xB Release Series 6.0 sports a sequentially numbered badge to reflect its rosy distinctiveness. Only 2,500 units of the xB RS 6.0 will be built.

The xB RS 6.0 model will carry a manufacturer’s suggested retail price (MSRP) of $1,743 over the base price of the xB. The base MSRP for the standard xB with a manual transmission is $15,750, while the standard xB with an automatic transmission model carries a MSRP of $16,700. The available Absolutely Red spoiler has a MSRP of $320, not including installation. The delivery, processing and handling (DPH) fee for all Scion models is $670 and is not included in the MSRP. DPH fee for vehicles distributed by Southeast Toyota (SET) and Gulf States Toyota (GST) may vary.

A 2009 xB RS 6.0 will be on display in the Scion booth at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit, Mich., January 11-25.

sorry i took me so long but got some info for you....

w/tires $1750, which includes mounting, balancing and sensors.....

if you want give me a few more days, i'm waiting to hear from 2 other contacts to see if i can get them cheaper for you....but if you want that price...i can order them for you whenever you would like...

 

I believe the reason they did not add the body kit or anything else...is b/c Scion came out to market toward Generation Y, being that they always know what they want, and how much they want to spend, they tried to make the vehicles accessible for under $20k, when the Gold Rush Mica came out, it was higher in price b/c of the sun roof and the body kit and some customers complained that the vehicle was gong higher end and the price also, so I believe that is why they tried to stick to the basics and make it all about, MAKING IT YOUR OWN.....almost all of Scion owners out there make the Scions there own and some look more toward the price than what is on the car...you can always order the body kit and the spoiler and all the other stuff...but those first time buyers just want the car and not always the extras.

I understand what you are saying but at the same time look at the dollar amount...in these times it's getting harder and harder for people to afford higher priced vehicles, so Scion is trying to meet the people's demands...and be thoughtful to their needs....and believe it or not...their demands....one thing i hear all the time is...what is your cheapest priced vehicle, I do not have alot of money but need a car...that's where Scion wins over the competition...more bang for your buck...more standards than not, and 5 star vehicles all around for safety...you can't beat that!

Just my perspective...being in sales ...and selling Scions...you just can't beat it!

 

the problem is that you can always get a headunit... sometimes better HU for half the price...

what the RS should be about is cool color, exclusive bodykit and wheels.
