Here are some pics of mostly Scions that were there. I was a little bent at the judges because the xB with the gun metal rims beat me (the one with the chrome grille) but that's passed. The Scion owners were all very cooooool, and the Green Scion was actually a big reason I bought my box after I saw it in Mini Truckin' in 2004. Hope everyone likes the pics, and thanks to the owners that came out! :D

i saw this xb at spring fling, very cool air ride set up, unfortunately i didnt have a talk with the owner, i was busy with wife and daugher. to the owner of this xb: are you on Scion Life? say hello if so

 

That guy said he was on ScionLife, but they finished that project in one week befor the show. He took 1'st in Scion Mild too.

The porsche rims on the v-dub are hot. Looks like it was a pretty decent show.

Niether one rocked if you want an honest opinion. The 1st xb looked real plain. And I dont think the judges agreed on the chrome grill.

You shouldve gotten more pics of the Vdub. The only decent car there. Plus with such an aggressive stance, everyone shouldve thought twice about parking near it.

Thanks Redneck, I was totally shocked by that.

Also my interior is leather, and his was stock cloth.

And one more thing, He made that face when he drove by mine. I'm not even kidding either, My buddy who was parked next to me said they came up and were looking at mine and pointing at stuff smiling and saying stuff in Japanese. I asked if they were flaming and he said no, but we don't speak Japanese either. Anyways, I give props to all the other Scions there, and really like them, my beef was with the judges.

If your going to show your xb at some of the bigger shows, you better get used to losing sometimes. You have a very cool looking xb. The judges look at your car differently than you do. I've taken home some first and best of show trophy's myself. but I've also not even been in the running at some of the big shows that i've gone to. even after the judges came up to me and was telling me how nice my car was. so you just can never tell who is going to win. I went to NOPI this past summer just like allot of people here in Florida. i was entered in the xb mild class and lost . not just me but everybody that entered that class. to someone that should have been in the wild class.so sometimes it's not what you show it's who you know! and as far as the chrome grill goes, keep it . everybody that knows me ,knows that you can never have enough chrome.

 

Yeah I know, I was just bummed by the lack of Judge knowledge about xB's. Thanks for the support though, and yes, I love the chrome grille. Everytime I go out and see the Florida sun gleaming off my grille, I'm like "Yeah boy".

 

It might not be a lack of Judge knowledge as I know some of the Spring Fling guys and at one point there were a couple XB's in that club. Just b/c you have more add-on's doesn't mean you're always going to win. A judge at this caliber of show looks at 100 things that you don't even think of and makes judgements off that as well. They use a similar judging form that we use at our show and it's very possible that while you might get more points in some areas you might lack in others according to the judges.

Honestly the best way to figure out why is to email them and ask them where you lost points and what they saw that you could of done better.
