I liked the convenience of seeing the central florida events but to see all of Florida is just to much in my opinion. I'm not all about the meets but seeing the others stuff that people are doing.

The amount of stickies that is in the forum right now is entirely to much.[/b]

no one is truly to blame it was a great idea but it took a lil bit to get it that way and it will take a lil bit to get it back to normal thats all

 

I removed 2 stickys, this being one.

Nothing I can do about them, until the date passes or somebody tells me that it's cancelled, it stays a sticky.

How about this... one topic that summarizes all events. Each individual event does not get stickied, just the main event topic? You just have to edit that one topic to add/remove events.

 

I don't have that much time. How about no Stickys for event, you just have to keep your thread up to date??

OK, OK, I'm done. no more Event Stickies, see the thread for that. I also cleaned up some of the other threads.

 

maybe you should do stickies for SCION ONLY Events!

That way all the other carshow king and no scion shows would just be pushed to the page 2s..

that way if we miss coming on in a day or 2 we don't have to spend 4 hrs figuring out wtf just happened....

just a suggestion.. and so i don't have to bump my show and exposed every day to keep in on the front page

i took it as he wanted an event sticky not a get rid of sticky's...

 

I just want the foreword that I doubt everyone will every be happy but I think we could all throw some ideas around and come up with something.

Why not make a sticky for each month and the first post be edited by whomever with all the event information. October is just crazy when it comes to meets and etc compared to most months. Just an idea I thought I'd throw out there.

 

That isn't a bad idea. I was thinking a single topic for events that would ONLY be replied to for new events to be added. That way the mod could get the topic notification, make the change and delete the reply. Keeps it clean and easy. But I will let Sparky devise his own way.. it is HIS forum.

Some of the folks will have issues, like quickly going way off-topic. Te single thread thing would be way too involved, right now there are sloe to 15 shows going on in SE in the near future. I think that maybe we could have an "Event Sticky Mod" and have that be all they do it just those threads. One for Orlando, one for Tampa one for Jax, one for Miami, One for...damn that's a lot of threads & now we are getting back to the same problem. Maybe shows by month would be better.
