who has beat an ep3 with there scion and what mods did they have and what mods do u have. cause i have been beaten by 3 this week by about 2 cars each time and i have. fujita cold air,zpi s pipe tasudo mid pipe and greddy ti-c axle back..

 

is the ep3 the '01-'05 hatchback si? if it is you should have taking them if they're stock, if its modded then its a drivers race, if your car is manual.

 

Haven't raced one yet. I'm not sure about the specs, but I have taken several of the new SI's easily on motor.

 

lol...saw one on the way home from work on I-4.... I don't know if there is a type-r model or anything pep-boyish like that, but this one was stock and I out ran him from a 50 roll.

When i had Intake only, i beat a few ep3's that had like intake and and exhaust not by alot though, one did beat me that was boosted when i used to live in miami.

 

weight to power ratio...counter that and you have your answer..

but no Ep's arent fast stock....now if we were talking about the Type R thats a different story...

this is a perfect thread for me my friend has an ep hatch w/ I/h/ full exhaust and I have sorta the same setup we raced up to 100 and were neck and neck the whole way and he is an insane driver too awesome race I feel its more of a drivers race since when we shift at 6200 he can still hold it to 6800rpm I believe so when we shift they enter their powerdband but then we catch up

 

Try shifting at a lower RPM and see what happens.

 

ok so last night i ran both of the ep3's again and beat both of them by about a car i dont know it was the just my tires or the heat a few days ago but when we ran this time on take off i was ahead and he would catch up when i shifted but then i would pull away again so yeah i guess it is just up to the driver if make little mistake u lose lol

haha i remember racing an ep3... blue1 with intake and exhaust... same thing i had on my tc at the time... and we raced like 4 times because he couldnt y i beat him... lol those are the times i miss the scion.. but if i would have kept it, it would have gotten me in trouble.. going out racing and stuff...
but it is a drivers race... they might not have the tq to back up their powere but once they get going its a diff story with the redline!! ill see if i can find the videos

 

ive raced a dew of the hatchback ones and sum take me and i take sum i guess it jus depends on the driver and the condition the race is in my brother has an 05 hatch but he takes me each and everytime...the new si's r jus slow all that power 197hp but wit a more heavier body then the o5 hatches
