No Scion. i asked the guy putting on the show about it and he said "there are too many scion owners in Fl, and we didnt want to deal with them for our first show, but maybe next year." i personally will not be going to the show.

haha and i was a little mad that i'd be in cocoa beach at the time of the show. still would like to see the cars, but probably would have registered for the giveaways

I dont think it is worth spending a dime at that show. As a matter of fact if they had another show next year i would not even give them the time of our day. Two manny Scions? Correct me if I am Wrong but the more cars you get the more money you make. Hummmmm

Im sorry to butt in to this. I really like just lurking in the shadows on here. But sometimes I just come across threads, that make me wanna say something.
From the looks of it. SOME of you dont seem to know who Team Solo is. If you dont maybe you shouldnt complain about the fact that they arent having a Scion class. All their rides are JDM/VIP style'd. And more money invested into them than our mods, and car purchase price put together.
All parts are high quality / High End Auto-Fashion Boutique, etc... Meaning not too many neons, strobes, hand painted interiors, etc...
And from the conversations Ive had with some of the members of Team Solo, they are not impressed with the Scion Community in South Florida.
Now whoever posted the show on here, really shouldve known that ahead of time before starting this thread.

and its not a bad thing just some people just arent as involved as others for reasons of either economic strain and family takes presidence over tuning a car to the point where it doesnt drive...and the economy isnt getting better and i def feel it honestly.
BTW well if your going Tcpete let me know i'll go to keep you company lol!

thanks for the compliments from both you guys... personally i dont see it a big problem if they only wanted specific brands for the show... its really nothing to get upset about or cry and moan because "scions" were not welcomed. even though toyota makes scions, so what... its a brand specific show and should be respected that way.
I dont think many ppl here would like lets says supras, corollas, and lexus's to be put up against scions in a scion only show just to say.... im sure scion ppl would be like WTF... well im sure they would feel the same way if the scenario is reversed.
for those who feel the need to b*tch and moan about not being able to put scions in a toyota/nissan show, all your doing is making yourself look immature, and making the scion community look immature and like a bunch of winey kids... not saying anyone in here is doing it but ive already read it on various other forums including other places...
if you think your car is up to par then great... go to the show, park with everyone and be friendly and talk with everyone and participate just like other enthusiasts.. but dont protest or form a show because they dont wana give you a freaking trophy lol... who cares.. save that for scion shows or large brand participation shows... not brand specific ...
just my 2 cents... i was going to the show but it falls on my vacation to vegas.. lol so i cant go ... i just hope no one embarrasses the scion community there... be calm, be chill and have fun with other enthusiasts... i think a more positive outcome will come from that...
