-Coral Gables motorcycle cops on Ponce de Leon and Bird RD (between Lejune and Red Road) shooting laser, usually in groups of three or more.
-I have noticed there aren't many Radar traps in town. I have encountered moving instant on maybe twice in 3 months. One K and one Ka.
-Cops sit on Highway 27 by the Miami airport waiting for people to run lights (seen it twice).
-FYI, the airports (Miami and FT Lauderdale) set off false laser alerts from the control towers when you are nearby on the interstates (826/836(MIA)/I95(FT.L).
-There are vascar lines on 874 in the Kendall area.
-Most cops are indifferent to tailgaiting and and speeding 10+ the PSL on the expressways (and the cops tailgate like crazy and squeeze between cars with no blinkers).
-Sunpass does laser falses from time to time.
-I have not been able to verify any unmarked cars, there are a lot of people here with crown vics and other popular cop cars with limo tint on them. But it seems like the majority of the traffic cops have marked cars.
-FYI, X band is not used in the state of Florida, laser jammers are legal, scanners are illegal (in your car for speeding). You are only required to use a blinker if it affects another vehicle. You can have open alcohol containers if they are locked in the trunk or glove box. You cannot make a Uturn if it will affect the flow of traffic. You cannot flash your lights at anyone or use the left turnsignal to say you want to pass (but I do... but its futile because no one here cares). It is illegal to have more than four forward facing headlights/foglights on at any one time.
