TeamScionEyed Miami, All Scions welcome!
Csaba, Do you have an auto or manual????
I wonder if maybe your clutch might need replacing???
Dirty air and/or fuel filter??????
Clean the MAF?
hmmm now that I think about it...... you said you feel power after 4k. So I don't think its the clutch. It would be the opposite if that were the case (Clutch slipping in higher rpms).
Could be dirty air/fuel filter, or maybe some clogged injectors. Not sure.
I wouldn't be too worried about the head gasket. Unless you'be been running really lean, and racing the hell out of it.
BTW there is a youtube video of someone teaching how to do a compression test on a scion tc. Maybe that can help you out.
As far the the gaps on the spark plugs. I'm not sure. Try calling the dealer to see if the spark plugs they sell for the TC are already pre-gapped. But I believe they are pre-gapped, because the tips are made of Iridium.

check your spark plugs to see if they are old and not good anymore... get new ones at the dealer if anything.. 73k miles is alot on stock plugs.. they should also be gapped for .34 so when u get them from the dealer or online double check... also get the same brand... the stock ones we use are the best on the market. u can order them rather quickly from Dezod csaba.
You might also wana inspect your air filter and throttle body for dirt, grime, age etc.. most likely your filter is dirty also if u havent changed it in over 2 years... pick up an AEM dry flow and that will help...
also inspect the spark plugs when u take them out and make sure theres no motor oil on any of them.. if there is.. u might want to replace the O rings.
the only other thing i can think of is maybe u have exhuast leaks in the piping.. or you've gotten so use to your car it just feels blah to you...
you can also run some fuel system cleaners if you've never ran any on the car on every oil change.... and/or inspect your fuel filter...
For any help with some of these things contact NOICSGARAGE above...

Thanks guys, i appreciate all the answers.
i will get new sparkplugs, and i will clean the maf sensor and the air filter..
i did it already around 50k miles.
btw i forget to mention.. sometimes when i backing up, and im about to stop to put ir in first gear: i depress the clutch and stop the rpm drops below 500, sometimes even stall and die on my.
but its only happens when i depress the clutch and im backing up really slowly.
about the clutch: i have some worries about them, when i depress the clutch completely, and keep it down, i have a continuous high picthed noise.. sounds like when you shake your keychains. i hawe no idea what is that. i will check the CAI tubing, because it does it since i installed the second bracket close to the wheels. imho its not the regular cai rattle.. i had that, i know how is that sounds like and i fixed it) and btw i have no idea what the clutch have to do with the cai, so im not sure whats this sound is.
talk to you guys later.

Well.. i hope Pete knows what could be the problem.. my msn buddy said thats the noise before the tranny has to be changed.
aha..
well it could be a variety of things... it can be a busted spring that came loose from the clutch disc, a throw out bearing going bad, a tranny going bad, chips of the gears... unless im there i cant say... if u wana check for loose springs and particles go under the car... WHEN ITS OFF, remove the access hole for the flywheel and look inside and see if there are chunks of crap loose... or look underneath were the tranny meets the block in the open gap for chunks also...it can be alot of things.
