That's me and the Thunderbirds... Guy with the big gun saw me taking pictures of the planes, approached me with finger on trigger and all and said politely "would you like me to take you a pic with the planes?"...and I thought he was going to arrest me haha!
f-18c Super Hornet based with us. Decided to take a couple of stupid pics...
2 restored Navy T-28's. These are currently flying here and are a lot of fun! had the pleasure to ride shotgun on the blue one on 9L. Took her on about 4k feet over Miami beach. I'll never forget that!
crappy camera I had. That's also Thunderbirds from last air and sea show (it's comming back this year but if I get my car close to one of these I'll sure get arrested!!)

I pulled air field duty a few times.. we were given 3 rounds, and these instructions:
Tell intuder to "Halt"
Ask intruder for military ID
No ID is produced, ask to leave.. then escort
Intruder does anything else:
1 warning shot
then..
1 wounding shot
then..
1 kill shot
.. but once any shot takes place.. we just would have done all 3.. never give a guy with a gun a green light to use it

Here is a teaser into phase 1 of the new Tb install (plus more.. to come)
TB from junk yard 01 Corolla 1ZZ FE, 5mm bigger than stock xB TB, and stock xB TB can only be ported to like 2.5 mm bigger.
After initial cleaning, note the raised areas
After a few days of my counter looking like this
It looks like this
not done, but all raised areas have been ported and leveled to an even slope into the throttle plate seat. The throttle plate seat has not been touched.. it is a perfect gradation from the opening of the TB horn to the plate.. in effect turning the TB into a semi velocity stack design. This again is only a part of the way into the project
