Let me know how much they are charging you to ship the car, I am in the same boat, although I will admit that I am a bit ____ed that WE have to pay to get our cars over to the west coast for some exposure.

It will not be an inexpensive trip ....

Thanks..

Ivan, just to get it there to NV we'd be paying 1k easy...thats not round trip either...thats one way for vehicle transport from 3 companies ive looked into...so 2k to get the car there and back...then after 2K think about plane tickets that are now according to the news on the rise

looking into train transport now...and then trailer rental...even if we drive the cost of gas and time to take off? your only a bit ____ed? I am Livid actually...sucks to be Eastcoast in the scion world or any car model actually we get shafted on the east big time!

ive been poping on the pacific regionals and reading their topics... and seeing what they find out...they know more then us here.,.

i assume you are going to exposed this weekend so we can talk more and share info that we are able to figure out within the next couple of days...

Send an email we may have something here, Danny is already recieving FAN mail from all points east of NV because of this. I actually called one of the transport companies and because my car was CUSTOM, and had a CUSTOM suspension, the only way they would haul it was door to door in its own enclosed trailer. My cost round trip was $2600 ... So now I'm ____ed. Another scam event poorly planned to favor those who live on the west coast only ...

I'm trying to raise enough awareness to either have them ship these cars for us or have an east coast photoshoot making it easier for us to travel to.

Either way .... WAY TO GO BEYOND MARKETING, you are beyond understanding ...

Find a trailer for all 3 of our cars and I'll drive it over there. haha!

Vlad and I will be driving the tC, but of course it will look just like that Audi that those kids drove from coast to coast... all dressed in blue tape. LOL

heeeeyyyy that actually doesnt count!...it didnt involve our cars other then the selection process...so honestly if my car isnt at the event it doesnt really count for me...scion event = my scion there! not a VIP secret meeting lol tho it was nice i wont knock it that much AND it was like 2yrs AGO!

knew someone would say something like that but nah that miami event was different then this... and the avatar is prettyyyy i cant seem to let it go!

Ivan, yea so you came pretty much to the same costs i was looking at and yea it is pretty unsettling...I emailed danny back in the day when i updated my pictures to be resubmitted ..you got it? yea i understand they said find your own way to NV but for people on the Eastcoast as far down as we are thats freakin crazy! theres no way! hell i honestly could think of better ways i could spend 3k worth of travel expenses....

i never get why scion or any marketing company doesnt do something geared towards Custom scions across the US not just the westcoast...hell you can film in MIAMi and say its Cali if it means that damned much! lol!

well i dunno on short notice what email harasing will do...I honestly cannot drive my car that far either...paint chips i know would be the least of my worries...i talked to kevin actually earlier while at work and he went further into the event and such and really turned me off about even attempting to go... even if WE show up after all that expense theres no guarantee OUR cars will be used....and no offense but i'm not driving out to be in a group shot...i can seriously do that HERE...in secret location in the everglades!! lol!

hell if scion or a dealer would rent a trailer big enough to cart the few of us Custom scions on the Eastcoast to NV that cant afford to make the drive/expense that would be freakin awesome but i'd be surprised if that happened! haha!

Im just mad still cause I didn't get picked even though I was in Miami that weekend and towards the end they were just calling people up to fill spots.

As far as this United Scion thing goes pretty much everybody that registered got picked. You 3 arent the only ones from FLa that got the email (myself include).
The rules when you registered stated that you was responsible for bringing the car up yourself, so no point in complaining about it now.

Could be worse... you could be living in Nevada with the sickest Scion ever and the event is 2 days before your 21st birthday......that would ____ me off

Default What a nightmare !!!!

Dont worry guys I also got invited and it was a bummer when I found out that we had to pay our own way and also the transport of the vehicle.
I spoke to the Director of marketing and all I got was an appology. I was explained that they actually screwed up because they should have had two shoots one on the East Coast and Another on the West Coeast, However they wanted the Dessert to be able to shoot.
Also found out that they will have a total of 500 cars out there and they will shoose which one to shoot. So dont be surprised that after all your ride might not even be shot. I will say that this really upsets me. Now check this out. They are having trouble making the quota of the cars that they need out there, Not everyone can afford to transport the cars over there. I personally think that they screwed up big time.
So all I can say Guys is good luck out there if you happen to go.
