that xd was looking like ____...n the neon kit looks like it got put on at the show crappy job...

 

Ok... this show was so horrible. Heres a list of the crap...

1. employees =
at the begining of the show one of the employees from the dealership came up and acted weirded out by my mans neon display... and then proceded to ask him for money... We were like "say what?!?" Then he walked away.. At least their staff is professional.

The second employee that acted like an a$$ was the lady that was giving out awards at the end of the night. When someone was complaining about the show and how the food situation was crazy, she responded with "Your just upset because you didnt win" This is crazy... if you were representing your dealership wouldnt you want people there to at least feel like you empathize... somethign like "Im sorry sir about the food situation, but we were not expecting such a large turnout" would work wonderfully...


2. The flyer=
I know everyone here can read the flyer themselves... and probably know quite well what it says... but for the sake of this argument... please allow me to remind you... the flyer said
"Bring out your decked out scion,
Most overall customized scion
Best interior, Best engine bay, Best Audio
Winners will recieve trophies"

So why in the world did they only hand out first and second in xB, tC, and xD/xA

What bs just to get people out to the show.

Lol.. I also just noticed... it also says that you can recieve discount service coupons the day of the show... more bs.. i never saw one.


3. Quality of the judging=
You would think to accuratly access and know what has been done to each vehicle... you would judge just like any other professional car show judges... start by talking to the owner... find out what has been done... then look at the quality of the work that has been done.

The xB's i think were pretty ovbious
The Xa/xD... honestly didnt pay much attention to... but anyways..
and the tC's Are you kidding me? Ok... first place I can see that he did alot of work to the car... and it seemed done well. but second place?? It almost looked stock. Seriously... can someone tell me what was done to the car?? All I saw was the fujita sticker on it so I guess it had an intake... ok.. One of the people at the end of the show I heard ask the people in charge why a stock tC took second... and supposedly they responded "we judged based on the overall look and the cleanliness of the vehicle"

I dont think anyone there showed up with a dirty car... lol

I have never seen a group of angry people show up to complain to the people running it after the show ended. I have seen shows run out of food, I have seen some questionable judging... but never the angry mob... lol.. I guess they did accomplish something with that show.


4. Time=
I was looking forawrd to it being a 3 hour show and going home at 9... but I understand the 20 minutes of rain delayed the show 2 hours. And we didnt go home till 11.



Seriously though... I dont want to rant on and on... And what i do have to say is that I was thourghly impressed by the caliber of the cars that came out last night. There were alot of really decked out cars... and every car was put together with style. Walking up and down the cars I saw a ton of things I havent seen before and concepts that worked out great.


I just think that Im never attending another show hosted by any dealership as they normally all turn out like crap. This one was just the final straw.

i completely agree with you on everything. except, 1st place tc did not deserve "1st place tc". that was a riced out tc in my opinion. other than that, i agree with everything, and i also will not be attending any dealership shows any time soon.

 

i didnt really say that first place tC deserved it... I have my own opinions on that one. Ricer is a matter of personal opinion... but for judging purposes... he did at least have things done to it.

well, i had about 10+ ppl telling me they thought 1st place tC was a ricer. so i guess majority rules. i'm sorry, but did u not see that spoiler that was made by NASA?

that was a slap in the face to most of us there i'm sure. but w/e, i'm not even going to sweat it anymore. i'll see u at non dealership shows, lol.

lol did anyone snap a picture of the winners? the 2 minute job on the Xa's underbody and the airplane wing on the tc? Im awefully curious :D

 

Aww come on guys... if your going to crack on something... be it the quality of the work done... not what they chose to put on it... Everyone has different tastes... and as long as you like whatever is on your own car, thats all that matters.

I understand that most people hate spoilers and bodykits and all kinds of stuff that goes on cars thats not made by the factory. Ill put myself out there to defend the the 1st place spoiler even though i didnt care for his car at all. I am another one who has put a completely aftermarket spoiler on my tc as you can see from my pic. I know it doesnt help anything performance wise but i PERSONALY like the way it looks. Maybe the guy liked that sort of wing on his tc, or if you guys took a closer look he was a part of a car club that requires you to do certain things to your car, maybe that was one of the requirements for him!

 

lol, w/e u say. most ppl don't hate body kits...i like body kits, when they're done correctly, with good taste. there's alot of ppl with non-matched painted bodykits and cheap ugly looking kits. i dont know why a person would join a car club that requires rice parts as part of the contract.

this is a clear example of rice defending rice.

 

What is considered rice? something out of the norm? not everyone like factory bs.

I can totally agree with what was mentioned about this show. It REALLY sucked..

As far as not going to any more dealer shows, I really dunno about that, the Hollywood Scion Scream show was put together real nicely...

The whole idea of, "You'll take a picture with your trophy, but you wont drive home with it" seemed a bit odd to me.

 

Hmm, another mario brother decided to quit blowing king cuppa and chim in. not everyone can roll into a car show with just rims, springs, and a mushroom. How much horsepower does your mushroom push out? 10 maybe 11 hp to the wheels?
