Default Celica Guy

Wassup guys I am here looking to maybe pick up a pair of TC rims for my Celica. Just want something a lil bigger to go on the car and 17's would be perfect and hopefully help compliment my Tein drop a lil more. So if yall know anyone trying to get ride of some of their TC wheel just let me know.

But I guess no introduction is good without some pictures. So here is my 2000 Toyota Celica GT-S 6-speed

Oh Yeah I forgot to mention where I was from. I am living in Macon, Georgia and working in Warner Robins Georgia up close to the air force base here. So I am all around the middle Georgia area.

drop it now, then go for wheels, as a rule do suspension before wheels

^ Gosh that is so annoying. I am lowered, this Tein drop is really starting to annoy me! >_<

You should see the way the Celica sits on stock suspension, it looks like a lifted truck!

Since it appears in your pics that you autox, be very wary of the advice on drops you get around the forums. Most people over lower and under spring (too low of rates for the drop) their cars in search of a slammed look, when a smaller drop is usually better for performance. A huge majority of the springs for the tC are way too low and not designed with performance in mind in the least. So if you really care about handling find out what some of the other serious guys are running for ride height in the celica world to find out what that sweet spot is.

And I think that drop looks MUCH, MUCH better than a slammed one would. I personally dont like the look of a car that is lowered too far. Nice looking celica as well by the way.

Of course, the only other wheels I have are used for autox, so unfortunately am of no help other than to bump your thread

Slamming = handling failure.

Well I guess I should update this thread. This site was really helpful in my search, and I did end up buying some wheels from here in F/S section of course. Here are some pictures with the two newest mods. C/f hatch and MB Drifters.

Thanks for the comments guys!

And I should be good w/o some TC wheels now. If anything I would be looking for some 15's to use for autocrossing.
