Slow day at work
It was slow at work today so I decided to wrap something in Ultra suede.
I programmed the CNC router to cut a 1/4" thick sintra panel and planed
it down to 1/8" thick and leave the 1/8" thick letters proud. The trick was
to leave a 1/2 round slope up to the face of each letter so that the suede
would lay down smoothly. Then I stuck on the yellow suede. It sure makes
it easier to have a glue pot and table to work with. It came out pretty nice
I think. This one is a lot quieter than the mirror panel which rattled. Now I
need to do the headliner.

Wow...that does look -really- nice. When I get bored at work I just end up playin' a prank on the crew like pouring flour on the guy coming out of the shower.
