Default FR-S and BRZ Paint?

Not really an easy question for me to find the answer to, but does anyone know if the FR-S's and BRZ's paint is the same? I'm not too sure how to word this so its super clear, but the reason I'm asking is I'm going to be buying a FR-S or BRZ in a couple months
and I don't want the cheap Scion paint. watching the paint over several years on the tC and the xBs has turned me away from the Scion paint quality. So I'm wondering if both paint jobs on these vehicles is the same?

They come off the same assembly line so yes they are the same. Although Toyota offers Hot Lava exclusively and Subaru offers World Rally Blue exclusively.

I'm all about my xB, but I'd rather get a BRZ. Rather pay 30k for a Subaru than a Scion. Plus, the BRZ is less "common" than the FR-S.

Your reasoning should be the added standard features, not the badge.

I have not compared the standard features on either one, but I would imagine there are a few differences for that extra 1.5k they are charging for the BRZ.

Yes,
Subaru has different interior, headlights and front bumper and FR-S suspension is much better...the rest is all the same

The cars are built and painted in the same plant. You will get the crappy Subaru paint, which is just as crappy as the Scion paint.

I disagree with Subaru paint quality from what I've personally seen, though i have heard complaints on the WRX. My dad has a Forester, with 130,000 miles the paint looks MINT compared to my 50,000 mile tC. My Mom also has a Subaru about same miles as my tC, paint still holding better.

Appreciate the feedback though, I have been looking at new cars for about half a year now and ended up deciding between either a new Genesis 3.8, new BRZ/FR-S, used Lexus iS250, used BMW i328. BMW service costs seemed like a pain in the ___ after dishing out the money, I ruled that one out first. I keep going back to my other 3 choices and I don't know what it is, the BRZ just keeps winning my mental arguments. All 3 of those cars have something I want that the other does not have, which sucks in my decision.

Paint codes are different for the FR-S and the BRZ. Marshall was complaining about having to buy all the BRZ paints now......

I think it's been discussed that they're the same colors, aside from WRB and Hot Lava.

They are the same, Toyota is listing the same Subaru paint codes, they are just using different names.
they even have Hot Lava listed under the code Subaru gave it and not the one they've used before.

By that same token, good luck finding a BRZ.
