Default Navigating the Austin Price "Tiers"

I just saw a haircut for $84 downtown. Back home, I paid $30. Is there a middle ground in this city, or is everything "luxury" priced?

Yeah, Austin's haircut prices can sting compared to back home—downtown spots often hit $80+ for that "luxury" vibe with fancy salons and high rent. But there's definitely a solid middle ground! Places like hair salon austin and chains like Supercuts or Cost Cutters offer great cuts around $25–$50. Many mid-range salons charge $40–$70 for quality without the premium markup. Yelp has lists of affordable options too—plenty of stylists keep it reasonable. You're not stuck paying top dollar here.

Totally agree—downtown prices are wild, but Austin has plenty of mid-range salons. You can still get a solid cut for $40–$70 without paying luxury rent premiums.
