Default Gen xB to iQ

I LOVE my '06 xB and I'm considering an iQ.
My biggest concerns are freeway ride (compared to the xB) and the CVT.

Has anyone with previous Gen1 ownership driven the iQ? I could use some good input.

Thanks.

Just got back from a round trip to San Francisco with the iQ. I have the AirRunner air suspension so I can't speak to a long trip on the stock springs but before I changed them out I felt they were comfortable when driving. I replaced the stock springs with Tanabe NF210's and the ride was still comfortable.

You will notice the rocking horse effect more in this car since the wheel base is short but not nearly as bad as the SMART car or other similar micro compact vehicles.

I highly suggest you take one for a drive. Although I miss my xB I am extremely pleased with my iQ.

Oh, the CVT transmission is awesome! Takes a little getting used to but it's really smooth.

100 mph. The iQ wasn't even breathing hard and was really stable. I did this little car!

Thanks for the input. I had read about the "hobby horse" effect due to the short wheelbase. I suppose there are certain roads that would be worse on than others. How about fuel consumption? Have you calculated any tanks yet? My Gen 1 is rated at 30/34 but I have no problem getting 35-38 in my daily commute (yes, I'm pretty conservative on the pedal).

I saw your build on the iQ. Very nice indeed.
