I purchased a Bluetooth ODB port reader and downloaded the Torque app to my Droid Razr. I hooked everything up today and it's a blast to play with.

My phone, software CD and ODB port scanner...

The Torque app on my Droid...

The display after I hooked it up...

I will write a DIY on the installation but for now I'll tell you the ODB port location causes a problem with your left knee. I moved the port behind the dash and used 3M molding tape to attach the sender to the air bag bracket.

I'm going to upgrade to the paid app for more options.

I attended the FWY Series Charity Fundraiser and Car Show today in Anaheim CA. We were raising money for breast cancer research and just having a good time despite the rain. Here are a few pics from the show...

Started off the day at Island Motor Sports, picking up some vinyl for the show.

Even with the rain we had a great turn out and raised some money for breast cancer research.

Many thanks to 742 Marketing, Team Revo, Miller Scion of Anaheim, Air-Runner Inc and all the other car clubs and sponsors.

The iQ is once again a four seater! I had Air-Runner Inc move the tank and compressor under the iQ so I could put the rear seat back into place.

The system is just barely visible from behind. This is at my normal ride height.

This is with the system aired out all the way, just enough clearance. The iQ won't move when it's dropped all the way so I don't have to worry about speed bumps.

Now that the rear seat is in place it's time to start on the interior transformation.

You really need a titanium block on the underside of that tank... get me some nice sparks there. ;)

Made a trip over to see Dale at O-NEX and picked up a set of HID reverse lights. Easy to install. Plug and play. They are 15 watts and make a big difference when backing up. I have 5% tint on my rear windows so the stock reverse lights just don't cut it.

I changed out my shark fin antenna from Beat-Sonic USA. The original one looked great with the Scion rear wing but with the low profile FIVE:AD wing it looked too big. The smaller one I got from Eric and the boys at Beat-Sonic looks much better I think. Here are some pictures for comparison.

love the shark fin too man. makes me want an iQ so badly! Just trying to wait for the RS version to drop... hoping I can make it before buying one.

can 15s fit on the iQ or 16s are the smallest?

I'm sure you could run on 15's. The iQ has a huge wheel well opening though, might not fill the gap.

I installed my rear view camera today from Beat-Sonic USA. It was so simple. On the Scion iQ you only need connect the RCA cable from the camera to the head unit. The power is connected to 12v from the ACC position on the ignition and a ground.

I was going to remove my rear wiper and plug the hole so I decided to use that as the mounting spot for the camera. I had to trim the rubber nipple a little but it came out great! Almost looks like a factory location.

looks awesome. Id love to own an iQ like this! so sick.

and I was wondering if the 15s would fit over the brakes and what not. good to know they would. 15s with huge tires might be awesome haha

Could be. Make sure they have at least a +35 offset to clear the calipers.
