Thank god. What a joke car. And no, they aren't going to be a classic. If in 50 years someone has one in mint condition, others will be like, "oh hey, that's the one car they made by that one company for only a short time. Still sh.t on wheels though. Oh hey look, a real car, a 1970 Challenger, let's go over there. 100 years old and $100K. iQ, $3,500"

I don't know why you call the TC a joke car? I don't think it's that bad

seeing as its been on sale for some 6 years now with nothing much changing, it is really due for replacement.
We here in America only just got it a few years ago, while in japan/europe have had it since 2008.

I do like the iQ, though
I would buy one in hot lava and slap on the Aston Martin Cygnet front bumper and tailights/hatch, yes...

According to my buddy at Scion Corp the iQ is still on the roster for another two years at least.

As for the iQ not being on the header of this forum, it never has been since the redesign of the website.

Right, I mean if that were the case, then where the hell is the xB on there too?

People were thinking it was on the out because Aston Martin said they weren't going to be making the Cygnet anymore specifically because toyota was getting rid of the iQ.
Last I heard, Toyota said this wasn't true.

also the iQ isn't in the "vehicles" drop down menu either because that is part of the old scionlife, the iQ and FR-S didn't exist when those were done and new pages were never created. (xB only has the original, xD is barely there)

Well, the FR-S isn't really a Scion. Just a rebadged Suby. Still a nice car. Not worth the price though

The 2015 iQ will be the last production year.

well, it will have been around almost unchanged for 8 years, i'd imagine it is well due for an update of some kind

I've run into this same thing on the tacomaworld forum. The current generation is going on 11years, no announcement for 2016 yet. People keep speculating when Toyota will introduce the 3rd gen. Tacoma. Toyota didn't get $40,000,000,000 in the bank by making bad decisions. Yes there are ten zeros there as in BILLION! No word from Toyota? The iQ will probably get a facelift in the near future. Just my speculation based on Toyotas past behavior.

what surf said.

Also, Trucks have a lot longer shelf life than cars, you can't really compare them. they keep them around with several refreshes before a new model comes around.
the market doesn't let that happen with anything else, just look at the civic, malibu, or even Camry and corrolla. you cannot have the same car hang around for too long, let alone one too similar to the old one and expect to be successful.

this is especially true for scion since they don't have the luxury to keep losing sales due to a stagnant lineup.
which they are obviously trying recently, with the tC2 getting a massive nose/butt job (just 3 yrs on) and the xD being replaced with the iM. and it feels like the xB gets a new knick knack or something every year since it's nose job.

LOL! Guess that source was lying.

Doing a search on the Internets, it seems major review sites knew the 2015 was a go since late August/early September 2014. I would assume car dealers had to know since October, going with the 90 to 120 days inventory schedule they follow.

More importantly it goes to show Aston Martin was just making up a scapegoat and not admitting terrible sales and a marketing disaster for the inventory drop.

TBH Toyota could just rebadge any 2013 or 2014 iQ as a 2015. They haven't changed a single thing since then upgrading the crappy radio from the 2012 model.

Tis a pitty the iQ is doing so poorly on sales. Maybe they should have put a 1.6L engine in the NA model. OTH though... it's the price. Too much $$$ for literally too little car.

this doesnt change anything though.
what we've heard so far has always said that a 2015 model year iQ would exist

you can even see surfcity's posts above, none of them say there wouldn't be a 2015 iQ

True enough... and the upcoming iM is bound to replace something in the current Scion lineup.

I wonder what kind of parts stockpile Toyota has built up for the iQ, seeing how demand didn't meet their expectations.

If 2015 is the final year, I wonder if Scion will slash prices below MSRP for those 2013's I still see floating around on new car lots.
