Default Here is my front suspension and brake setup.

When it came to my suspension and brakes, I wanted to do something a bit over the top, so what you see is what I came up with. I worked together with a company to design a front brake kit that would replace the front crappy single piston floating caliper with a 6 piston fixed caliper setup using a 11.75" 2 piece cross drilled and slotted rotor. For suspension I went with a set of Megan coil overs that have 32 settings depending on how soft or firm you want your ride, they are definitely a good choice for anyone wanting a adjustable suspension. I further went on to design a set of front sway bar end links using a 3/4" swaged center section and adjustable heim joint end links. Lets just say that the handling and stoping is nothing short of ultra high end sports car performance!

Default Rear suspension and brakes

Here is an up close look of my rear suspension and brakes. The suspension is fully adjustable and the brakes are 4 piston fixed calipers using 11" rotors. The stopping power I have on my IQ could bring a full size Chevy Belair to a screeching stop, so trust me my IQ will stop on a dime and spit out change lol. That I know of in the US I am the only person to have a Scion IQ with all wheel disk brakes while still retaining the parking brake feature, and not just disk brakes, but a full race setup, I even changed all the hoses to braided stainless steel.

Thanks Philphree, it took hundreds of hours of work to complete this tiny little car, blood sweat and tears as the saying goes, but I enjoy the car so it was all worth it

Thumbs down From the bottom up

You can see the bottom side, and the Tanabe Chassis brace that I have to replace in October when they are suppose to come out with a replacement that actually allows you to do an oil change without removing the brace. Their first version was a total flop, and terrible R&D on their part. They are usually a great company and make very well made parts, but they dropped the ball on this one, and won't even admit to it. On numerous times I've contacted Tanabe USA to discus when the redesigned brace will be ready and they repeatedly say that the first design was not flawed, but any idiot knows companies don't just go and redesign something unless there is something wrong with the first version. As a consumer it's more irritating to be lied to and told there is nothing wrong with a flawed item, than just being told that they made a mistake and that they would own up to it, and replace the defective product. Two thumbs down to Tanabe USA for their terrible customer service, and unprofessional handaling of this situation. Here is the icing on the cake, they told me I have to send the defective brace back to the company that I purchased it from at my cost, which is nearly $80

I agree, they should own up to their mistake and pay for the full part to be returned. It's a shame hearing about large companies not owning up to their flaws and more importantly could of cost or HAS cost many other people in the same situation.

On the plus side - the Megan Coilovers seem a very good product, lot of reviews I'm reading everywhere seem positive. Definitely investing in them when money allows!

I agree with you 100% but Tanabe failed to do the right thing and pay the return shipping, I had to pay the return shipping, and for a box to ship it back in out of my own pocket. How can a company have the nerve to say to a customer that a product is not defective, when they re-design the product and then take the first version off their website. Did I get my replacement yes, but should I have to had waited 4 months, and then pay the return shipping heck no!! Worst company I've dealt with in a long time. There is one manager there in particular named Don, or at least that's what he says his name is that is exceptionally rude! I've been building cars probably longer than the kid sounds like he's been alive, and he tries to talk to me like I'm some kind of moron who doesn't know when a product is defective. The darn shame of it all is, that Tanabe does build a decent product, and the quality is good, but at least for their US sales team, their customer service sucks! Mistakes are made, it's only human, but when a large company with their reputation at stake makes them, they should own up to it, treat the customer in a respectable fashion, and do whatever it takes to correct the situation.

It's a darn shame that these companies hire people that will in the end ruin their good name 2 thumbs down to at least one of the managers at Tanabe USA, and not much better to say for the head guy in charge that didn't do the right thing either.
