Heh, The first word spoken on ScionLife.com may be lost to history - the oldest topic in the database is #33, and the oldest post is #33, from 4/16/03 10:10AM...

The first words there are "Only site sponsors are allowed to post topics in this area, or to post commercial ads in any forum area of the ScionLife forums."

Can't find anything older.

Well, gals and guys, the oldest surviving post by a member in a regular topic is Number 106, by TiaMaria. It was posted at 5:33PM on May 10th, 2003.

Since that was a full month after ScionLife started, and Darren took up at least the first 34 posts testing and setting up, that means it took a month to get 72 more posts.

These days I sometimes see that many posts in the time between when I hit [POST REPLY] and when the server returns what I posted on the screen.

It may have been slow starting, but it's rolling now!

(For those wondering, No, I don't have any special access to ScionLife's database, I just used some decent search techniques to root out the oldest post.)

Again, Happy Birthday, ScionLife, and thank you, Darren, for all the work you've put in.
