LOL, no kidding. And they can't even use the photos because they broke the contract by not giving out the prizes that were promised. IF anyone wins the grand prize of the trip, they are going to have to do some quick work to get everything taken care of since the date is creeping closer and closer.

I have just been informed winners will be posted this week on scion.com/ownerscontest Prizes are made and ready for shipment as soon as winners are displayed...our NCCA panel of judges did their best to complete the contest as fair as possible in the time given. Panel of judges? I thought you said that the reason it took so long to announce the winners was because you were judging all of the entries yourself?

I really wanted to see this contest be successful, but the way it was run, I would think, is embarassing to Scion. Free contest or not, it could have, and should have been run much better. The part that really gets me is that despite Danny's e-mail address being posted and him saying to feel free to e-mail him questions, I never got a response when I sent an e-mail asking one. Hopefully, Scion chooses a more responsible marketing company to run their contests in the future.

i talked to danny last week and he was just catching up on emails as he is out judging shows, and he got more judges to help to get the contest finished quicker as it started out being only him at first

I can't believe people are so beat up over this contest. Its the people with cars that aren't even that dope, or people that work with other marketing companies that are _____ing the most. If you guys would see all of the entries, some of you prolly would have just closed this thread and never read again. I don't know of any tC's that will even come close to Jeff Gregory's. Maybe some heat in the xB class... but for those with a cool sub box, lowering springs and a lip kit with stock paint...

If this is all the complaining about the results not being done when expected, I can't wait to see the complaining that happends after people find out they didnt win. Being a judge, reading on forums the excuses people think up makes me smile.

I know I probably won't win. I don't care about winning. Its the principle of the thing though. They said one thing, and then don't do it.

Better planning would have made this much better. If they didn't have the winners chosen, they shouldn't have announced when they would be notified.

As I have said before, free or not, this contest was run extremely poorly.

 

thios issue doesnt even need to be brought up ne more... you are all beating a dead horse with a stick... the contest is done... you dont have to complain or give you 2 cents... it dont matter they are doing what they are doing so leave them alone...
