Hehe...you are right. They said the same thing about the XB, now they drive one. Now thats funny. Personally, I love cars like these, they have personality, and are set apart from the crowd (well, maybe not so much anymore).

Nope, I almost bought an xb1 when they first came out (didn't because the lack of power). I wouldn't be caught dead in the nissan cube.

The Cube that they tested looked like something from a Dr Seuss book.

It's really too bad as the old Cube was a decent looking little car that could actually be compared side by side to a 1st gen box.

All I know is that I'm looking forward to test driving one. I don't think I could ever give up my box though.

I think due to being the first of it's kind with sharp edges and a new attitude that the xB1 appealed to more buyers and a wider youth oriented audience in general. The Cube is trying to ride on the coattails Scion left behind, but while being quirky, it is just a little too rounded to be new & edgy... small and boxy yes, edgy with aggressive attitude, NO!

the cube will success will all depend on aftermarket parts.. It can be a good looking car when fixed up.

It also depends on how they market it.. Toyota had an awsome plan and created a totaly new brand Scion, Drew in the younger market, brought in all the heavy hitters in aftermarket and car builders and most of all the pure pricing with a whole new defferant outlook on haw sale men sold these cars. and most of all if they will support the Cube comminty like How scion does.

I have never got so many free stuffs from a car company lke i did scion.. support from the corp and local dealerships.

i can relate to d CUBe as what XB was. d styling,& d optional upgrades. Actually, a fixed up CUBe isn't bad looking. d SOUL, on d other hand, looks like a slimmer XB2 tippytoeing. d interior looks sick tho

Yeppers! I'd say the Cube is directly targeted at the same niche group as the xB1. Should be very interesting indeed! Since the xB2 pretty much moved on, I'm expecting the Cube to be pretty successful !

I really like the Soul. Too bad its a Kia and I don't think the aftermarket will take to it like to Scion.......

So the Soul SPORT version handles better... How about the standard model? I'd bet all the parts are available to bring the xB up to a competitive level. Can that be said for these other two cars?

Kia has an aftermarket, I wasn't aware of it but they do. My older brother just got a Spectra and is putting in a stage 2 turbo kit, big brake set up, and a few other niceties. So yeah, I suppose it can be said about Kia. I'll admit Kia's current line up of cars is rather boring, but with the Soul, Forte sedan and Forte coup, Sorento, VG sedan, No3 Concept, things are starting to brighten up. I'll be considering a Kia in the not too distant future to replace my wife's 200,000+ mileage Grand Am. Hopefully I wont be needing to replace my under 50,000 mileage Mazda mx-6 anytime soon..

I don't know man, that Cube is one perky looking machine. I need the space the xB2 provides, but otherwise, that Cube could definitely grow on me!

Old Cube > xb1 > new cube.

xB2 > All
