in order for Scion to get back to its old roots. ditch the xB2. (yeah i said it) and bring over the bB from Japan. or if they want to keep the xB2 put the 1.8L from the xD in it so that it can get better MPG. the rumion already comes with one in Japan so why not just throw it in there. and idk what to say about the tC... just ditch it already, its past its prime now. bring on the toyobaru! and there's no way RWD will make it into a Scion unless you want to pay 20K+ for it.

I drove an 09 carolla, the 1.8 didnt impress me. I rather stick with the 2.4 in the pickup model.

Cube? Yeah, just a recarnation of the element. Not like the element is setting the world on fire.

Uh... No relationship at all between the much larger Honda Element SUV and the Nissan Cube City Car. In fact the Cube pre-dates the bB in Japan, and is what Toyota built the bB to compete with... Cube and the original bB/xB are nearly identical in dimensions, even.

Default Any chance

Any chance of them bringing the toyota voxy over?

Looks like a first gen xB with the front end of the xD.
I think it would be a good fighter for the Mazda 5.

I just saw a Cube today. No xB but it's not too shabby.

I still want my Scion iQ and use similar aspects from the UK iQ for the Scion ad:

http://www.toyota.co.uk/iq/

If it is a truck it would have to be built outside of Japan. The Toyota IMV platform found on the Toyota Hilux/Vigo is appropriate. Toyota has a Hilux plant in Argentina and may be cost effective since the Yen isn't as influential as before.

Or re-tool NUMMI for a slightly extended Tacoma regular cab but shorten the bed lenght. Lower the ride height. Slap the new 2.7L 4-cyl engine that's found in the new Venza.

Or Toyota could use the chassis from the Subaru Baja and re-shape it something more attractive for the intended market. Was the Baja made at the now joint Subaru/Toyota plant in Indiana?

Just wishful thinking... I also still want my Daihatsu Copen ZZ!

No offense guys, either way its still either a mini van or stationwagon. Wheres a vehicle where the driver has a death wish or no room for passengers to begin with???

Hell, toy already makes a mini truck called the hi jet infact many are being registered as a grey import and driven in America already.

Personally, I'm really ____ed that Toyota is delaying the toybaru. A RWD toyota with a boxer engine? Now why do they have to go dangle that bait in front of our faces and then take it away!

And Toyota shouldn't have killed the xA! Hmpf! lol

so go buy an Avalanche. same thing with more power and more room. but you get one and then realize that like the iQ, there's not much room for any stereo if any at all. who said the Cube is a reincarnation of the Element. Even the 2nd gen Cube came before the Element. and still, that lunk of a 2.4L Camry engine doesn't make it a performance engine really. it's a truck motor like Nissan did to the 240SX. yea, it may respond okay to some mods, but not the way a Honda or Toyota 2ZZFE did to modification. the 2.4 shoulda been high compression 200hp from the get go like it will when the tC goes Japan only as the new Celica.

I am really hoping for a Scion iQ. Fuel economy ftw. And for whoever mentioned not being able to make them very fast in an above post - search for smart car devils on youtube. They fit Hayabusa engines in them - it's pretty sweet. I don't see why something like that wouldn't be possible with the iQ.

1: so what?
2: wasn't that the basis for the xB2?
3:read above ^^^
4:so you buy/have an xB and you have another 16K just chillin in your wallet waitin to be spent on the xB? I think not...

your welcome and I'm driving on.

keep wishing guys. you'll most likely see the slow a$$ iQ as the 4th model to add to the xD, xB2 and tC. iQ makes 4. have fun with that one. no tC replacement till god knows when will really slow down Scion sales. updateing headlites isn't gonna make it sell better...Honday!!!!
