the all-new Black Currant Metallic
any pic of this color in another car or is it just another black in the lineup?

its probably dark purple or blueish, not like a jet black.

Uhm... is that base price correct? I thought the base model was at least $15k for 2009 manual. Then again when I got mine I just asked "Where do I sign?"

I think the BCM does have a purple/red tint to it. Going to have to see that color in person... might trade for it O.o

The $14,800 MSRP does not include the $670 delivery fee. Add that in and you get $15,470 ... which I think is just a tad higher.

Somewhat off-topic, I'm simultaneously bummed that xD sales have been down for the 2009 year and loving having a distinctive ride ... lol.

i saw the radios last month, the new alpine one has pretty cool features and look. our dealer got in a handfull of 2010 xB2s and they had these new HUs in them, and a new color on the xB2, sizzling crimson mica replaces blackberry crush.

Kind of makes me wish I had waited so I could have VSC for only 150 extra, or just have VSC at all with a 5sp trans.

I'm surprised Toyota released the information so soon. I was about to buy an xD last weekend but I saw the press release. SET, the distributor in my area, doesn't even offer 09 xDs with VSC, and the local dealer says the 2010 models won't be available until September (of course, they might just want me to buy the 09 model!).

Oh well. Hopefully I'll be a new xD owner in a month or two.
