so......what would you call the sport version of the tD?

StD? haha NO!

I can think of aboubt 25 other letters that would be better than tD

Specs on the iQ/tD

Toyota unveiled the iQ last year with an impressive 65.7 mpg, 55 mpg in the US. But a not so impressive 67 horsepower. So Toyota is bringing a more powerful version to the Geneva Motor Show next week.

The more powerful iQ will be powered by a 99 horsepower 1.3L VVTi engine with 58.9 mpg (49 in the US) when mated to the six-speed manual transmission. When the engine is mated to the Multidrive automatic transmission it gets 55.4 mpg (46 mpg in the states).

The more powerful iQ will be on sale in Europe this July.

Considering that Hyundai owns Kia and they have the largest manufacturing facility in the world, I wouldn't be surprised. I've been predicting the Genesis for years already. They WILL take over a huge share of the auto market in the next 3-5 years.

iQ is still boring and may as well just be under the Toyota name. every senior citizen is gonna buy one along with the green trendy people. can't wait to blow the doors off these cars with my xB1. what was it? 20 seconds to 60mph? what a laughing stock....

there will be a RWD coupe form Toyota and it willmost likely not hit America. you could almost bet on it

iQ is for economy, not for performance...
It really shows who you are, trying to race with xB1...

It's designed to have high miles per gallon... 65mpg
Try to beat that with xB1, or even gutten xB1

I'm not trying to say iQ is something wonderful car.... if I just need a car to commute, this is good idea....

65mpg is based on the Europe model with smaller engine..
US will get bigger engine, so less MPG but better pick up speed..

tongue in cheek my friend. I don't race anything in my xB1. you apparently don't know what it looks like and it's doesn't go fast. my xB1 is low and slow which still gets me around faster than that iQ. but let's see. 65mpg on how big of a gas tank? I bet you still have to fill up once a week

Default gas

US MPG with the 99HP engine =
stick - 49
auto - 45

gas tank size = 32 liters/8.5 gallons

so 49 X 8.5 = 416.5

over 400 miles on one tank of gas......

as good as a prius but $10,000 cheaper

good luck finding one of these bad boys
