Someone should start preparing a two seat conversion kit... My tC will be paid off the end of the year and this is my planned replacement (something about 40-50mpg makes me smile). There is no way I'll be using those seats and as a 6 foot 230lb'r I'll need a little bit more room, but would like it to look better then just ripping the seats out.

i think it would be better if the car is released in other countries for a few years before it comes to the u.s its the same thing they did with the xb and xa its just that those were launched with the brand as opposed to being a concept !! it helps toyota fine tune it before it gets here and also lets the aftermarket loose on it so that it comes with lots of goodies available !!!

those cars were very capable compact cars that just killed at auto x and not many people even knew about them
dont know about the IQ, too small for over here. I can see it doing well in a big city type of deal but people don't realize that you can carry a few bags of food but not much else.
I remember when i was just driving the MR2 for a week, i went about my normal day and had to go back home and get the 350Z to pick up a canvas and it just fit
small cars rock until real life sets in and you cant even pick up items at depo
what they really need to do is bring over a small sport truck or something. 2 seats but at least you have some hauling ability
X-runner = Awesome untill fill the tank

I downloaded the 3rd episode from the 13th season of Top Gear (from BBC, BBC America shows older shows) and it featured the Toyota IQ pretty prominently. They were choosing "cheap and cheerful" cars that they actually liked, and James May showed up in a Toyota IQ.
He seemed to fit in it just fine, though in a drag race, Hammond's Alfa Romeo blew its doors off. Another test had him taking a lap around the track with a St. Bernard dog in the car with him. The dog had to ride shotgun, but he got in there.
Go to www.toyota.co.uk Toyota's UK site to get loads of info on the IQ.
