There is only one problem with this whole thing.
The Yaris with the power package (and who does not get that) is the same price as the xD.
I know the big seller is the gas mileage but for the same price you get more room, flexibility, and not to mention power with the xD .
I would just like to see the iQ as a step down in pricing compared to the xD.

Putting it off for another 1 or 2 years is really Toyota saying "We're not bringing it to the US unless we see a better business reason to do so." In other words, unless gas goes over $6 a gallon and stays there it's not very likely to appear. Toyota would rather sell something fatter and more profitable in the US.
Same thing happened with the xB. Toyota grudgingly let us have a lightly revised bB as a stopgap measure to retain some youth market against the threat of the Element. When that threat didn't materialize, the xB got fatter.

We've waited long enought for this car to come to the states. I just hope that it doesn't share the fate as the Fit did. That being that it changes design within the first ear or two.
For those that haven't heard, the iQ is liked so much that Aston Martin is using it for their "new" car .. the Cygnet.
