For real?

First off, as an owner and enthsiast, I think I am entitled to an opinion. I never said Scion didn't do stuff for us. I have NEVER complained about swag. Do I bash Scion left and right and say they "failed at this and that"? No, I don't. Did I bash the color (which seems to be what many others hate)? NO. I just think on a FEW SELECT things they are starting to slip.

Secondly, I'm actually pretty psyched for someone to get one and join my Scikotics chapter - so I will welcome them with open arms, an open mind, and a bag of swag. I think it has tons of potential! Where did I say it was sh*tty? I can't seem to find where I EVER said that. I don't see how it's ignorant when I'm simply posting a tactfully-worded opinion.

Finally, Toyota and Scion are actually doing quite well financially - unlike many auto makers. While some consumers are still making ends meet, I'm not saying it's a bad price for a brand new car. I'll be the first to say it's awesome they make them so affordable. I simply said I don't see how it justifies the added cost. I know there's mark-up. I took plenty of business, marketing, and accounting classes in college. But I still believe that's an exaggerated amount.




No wonder so people go to other forums instead of SL. You can't say anything without having to defend what you said and why you think that way. Sheesh.

The DAMD kit, but only people with the RS1 can get them. So you'd have to find someone with the RS1 that would order it, then you'd have to get it repainted. haha!

oh only the RS lip kit? so there's no OEM lip like the onces u can get with tc's? that kinda sux. but besides that the color is pretty nice in person, pictures don't do it justice. jus needs a lip kit and a drop and voila! awesome sauce.

 

Thank you for supporting my aguement again and again.....times are tough and so they should provide more value than less value...and umm all the swag well have you heard of promotion and marketing? There was a reason....Scion has lost its way with sub standard package and cars that don't speak to the core buyers who bought the first Scions and I was one of the early ones on the east coat and 5 years late I am looking fo a new car and every time I look at the new models and options to the point I may decide to keep my old and wait or buy another brand and I would not be the first....

They used to listen to the consumer....when did that become a bad idea?

 

there is a lip kit available, the 5axis kit, I think it would look great on the RS2.

i would agree totally but toyota is down 32 billion for the first quarter, i dont think thats doing financially well

they actually lost the most money out of all the car companies

VW and Hyundai are the only 2 companies up for sales

the cube, the soul, and other smaller vehicles are going to cut sharply in scion / toyota sales. everybody caught on to what toyota was doing, a bit late but nows there are a lot of competition

 

Hm... must just be the Des Moines dealership that is doing well. ^^

Agreed, at least they're doing a little bit better in Q2.

rosedale: I think they make stuff for Lexus too, but not 100% sure on that.

 

5axis is a custom car shop in the same vein of "west coast customs" from the pimp my ride show, but because of things they are on a higher scale so to speak.

but they make the kits for the xB2 and xD and they are available through most dealerships. its like TRD... "OEM aftermarket" if you will???

Seriously the RS packages are okay. We are so individual on what we like. But when you again have a new person(s) coming into the car market you need to keep it simple. Heck If you were 11 when the Scions launched you are now 16 and driving. There is a lot of people that only know the old Gen1 xB as SCION. The tC and everything else has no place in their existance.

With rims the xD will look fine. I hate wheel covers but then everyone b!thces about what wheels look like, as they do the stereo.
