Scion xD Unleashed in Chicago BODYKIT + WHEELS!
Anyone worried that the new Scions are too close to Toyota's recent design language? Sure they have that grille, but the way the surfaces are sculpted make it obvious that they're Toyotas. That wasn't the case with the old xA and xB.
Not only does the xD remind some of us of the Matrix, it has really similar specs... what's the difference gonna be?
And I'll be upset if Scion leaves the $14-$15k range. Bigger, faster, and more loaded aren't always the right way to go... there's so much more competition between $15k and $20k. And more people looking for mileage over power.

I agree -- I like this a lot more than the xB2. Stock it's "eh," but the modded version is hot.
Is this really based on the Yaris chassis? It wouldn't be a game breaker either way, but I had not heard that before. Good milage, too!
EDIT: I just looked at the interior pictures, and -- wow -- that's a great-looking interior.

There is no comparing the xD to the xA because it is a totally new model, and not a 2nd gen xA.
I would like it if they added a window to that horrible D pillar
and threw in the tC motor.
then i would like the xD.

I'm surprised scion didn't do anything about how people can arrange the seats like in the Fit and tC. The xD does look way better with the kit and goodies but I can't imagine how much more that will cost which is my top concern. Getting the xD stock w/out the kit, you can't lower it much more to make it look nicer since it doesn't seem like there's much of a wheel gap. Unlike some people, I do like the back of the xD, loving the tail lights with the exception of the D-Pillar. I'll be very tempted to trade in the xA if they price it correctly but I highly doubt it'll be as affordble as the xA.
Things I wish they would've added...
- different arrangements for seating
- height adjustment for the seats
- paddle shifters or tiptronic shifting
- perhaps CVT
- an armrest!

Probably because the xD will be the car Scion points to when they say their vehicles are affordable or competitively priced. I expect to see a huge price jump in the xB.

Just wanted to say "THANK YOU" for all the props on the kits and our mods. I will post more details, on the kits and their availabilty, later on. Just want to soak in the feedback first.
Yes, this is the same car many of you who went to Miami, tried to recall, but for many, the night was a blurrrrr. I can tell you for those of you who didn't see it in person, this car has lots of potential. It looks hella different too when you can stand on the same ground plane and look at it. Being up on a stage, like in Miami, is deceiving.
Anyway, keep up the feedback and I'll be back next week.
Thanks,
