tC Named One of the Worst Poser Cars ... by Jalopnik Readers

I like the Prowler. I don't it used a V-6 form the Intrepid. don't care that it's not fast. doesn't have to be. As far as the topic at hand, It depends on how ones tC is depicted. Lots o fkids have angst cuz it's no Civic Si. 3rd and 4th gen Eclipse owners are teh same way. and now the basic Lancer taking up the Eclipse place. It's no EVO no matter how many paddles you have on the steering wheel. The tC2 is gonna be even more poser since it's quicker than the tC1.

Its not a racecar because its not priced as a racecar. Last I checked the tC was not in the $30k+ range which is where the decent speed cars normally start off at. You cannot expect Ferrari style and speed at a budget price. Its meant to be an affordable car with decent performance for price, its not saying its anything else.

the only car I disgree with is the Trans Am in its day it was at the top of the performance heap... The 82 corvette had the same hp, and the 83 z28 had the same also. the 5.7 did not return to the camaro until 87 Iroc.....83 Must GT was a similiar hp levels....pathetic by today's standards but it is what was out there then

Lol! That list is pretty much biased. They say that those cars are posers cuz they have no performance and/or power... Well then why pick those cars as the top 10?? I can think of sooo many better choices, Kia Forte/Rio, Honda civic/prelude, Nissan 240sx/sentra (all trims), mitsubishi lancer base/rally OZ, Chevy Cavalier Z28/other trims, Geo Prizm/Storm, Dodge neon (exl. srt-4)....
Based on what they think qualifies for poser cars, then all those cars should have been better canidates than some of the cars listed.
Interesting tho, I didnt realize that owning a car that looks nice, and you enjoy driving it, makes you a "poser".
Idk when this hate trend became popular, but its wrong, buy whatever car you want, modify it with whatever you want, paint it whatever color you want. or dont. its your car, your decision, your money, and your the one living with and driving that car...not the posers who hate on it.

Seriously just because they entered the luxury market here doesn't mean they are copying anyone

well I'm buying a tC because its reliable (unlike my GTI)... And in order for me to gain an extra 100whp from stock I need to spend 7k, but with a tC I can get an extra 200whp for about 5k.

This is not to say you cannot make the car a sportscar, that can be said for any car, but to your topic, coming out of the dealer stock, or with minor upgrades like intake and such then yes I would have to agree.

Well, the tC is nice especially with the Clazzio seat covers, a STS and a new leather boot (this is what I have obviously). The interior IS the best feature of our car with the waterfall. It is unlike anything else out there. Unfortunately the tC2 does not have the looks inside. The car is super reliable but I have to say, the only disappointment in the tC is the mods do not produce more power w/o f/i. That is my biggest hangup. I did not have high expectations but at the same time, a little more power from your typical bolt ons would have been nice. Oh well. Nice ride stock or modified. Toyota could do a better job though with the options, leather, an optional engine, etc. Everything else is pretty good.
