I painted my shrouds because it was so scratch up. I would not recommend you to spray clear coat on your chrome . Just leave them as they are. Wrap it up with plastic if you're so concern.

BTW Yanki01 did you get a new set of Scion tC headlights yet? I'll keep an eye out for them for you. You should post a WTB on every single forum you are in. Maybe besides CoMo bc my WTB is still on there and if I get an offer I'll immediately PM you about it.

 

thanks! I actually talked to some seller on ebay cause he was selling a set of headlamps on there but in 2 different auctions. I told him i wanted to buy both but havent heard anything since thursday? He gave me a good deal, $40 for both plus s/h? Not bad i think? Still in NEW condition. Hopefully i can get some info back from him.

I just started my retro last weekend. I'm using E46 Bi-xenon projectors, E46 shrouds, some Phillips D2S bulbs, Denso ballasts and I'm gonna use the angel eyes from my old set of headlights.

40 for a pair of headlamps? It doesn't sound like a good deal for the seller. That's probably why he/she did not get back to you. You should give a better offer and see.

even for a single lamp, it is still pretty cheap. I think the guy sold his headlights already. You can always order a cheap aftermarket one, and then drive with it during your retrofit. It might be more expensive, but that's all you have if you can't buy the OEM. Good Luck

 

i contacted another member on here about their headlamps they have for sale. Hopefully ill get something. If not then ill open up a classifieds for this!
