Default 06 mudguards

so, this isn't that big of a deal, but it's irritating.

apparently, while on my old tc, an 05, i had all 4 mudguards.

now with an 06 tc, i only have the rear 2. i tell them there must be 4. they check into it and they say there are definitely only 2, but they'll get me the other 2 anyway. now, maybe its just my perception, but after i put the front ones on my 05 tc, the amount of buildup on the car dramatically reduced. so scion gets rid of the fronts? weird.

anyone else get this?

I couldn't imagine Scion just putting on rear mudguards. The front is where they are needed most.

yeah, those are the 05's :] i think my dealer ordered those, since the rears are definitely a different shape than the fronts. i was actually going to tell them to order from mcgeorge...

slighly OT, but what's the install like? I'm planning on getting a set for winter.

and the 05's definitely fit the 06, right?

the install is easy. just drill 2 holes as i recall. its very straightforward. the other holes are already there for them to mount.

and the body panels are the same, so yes, they fit!

Wow, I can't believe there are only 2 mudguards. I am actually only running front ones at the moment and it makes a huge difference in the amount of grime on the side of my car. I don't have the back ones on at the moment because I bought them from a friend and he lost the U-clips. Its fine with me though, I kinda like the look.

When I installed mine they didn't even require drilling. The screws go right through the plastic. They look great.

yeah. even on my super white, its a very subtle diffrence in aesthetics, that do add a cool effect, also i really dont mind because it does help. as for install i just took off all my tires and drilled. just because i wanted to make shure they were uber tight. as for pics ill get them later tonight since i am at work. but if you cant wait, just search for mud guards, i actually looked on here before i bought mine.

Here you go...

I painted mine black. And seriously, I forget they are there. I tried to find some pix with them in sight, but I can't find any! The 'Guards blend in too damn much! If you get them, make sure to get 4 of them.

thanks! I thought they would stand out more than that. may have to consider throwing them on asap.

and I agree with yellowxboy, those red tyc tails look niiice! how's the color of the turn signals, being that they're yellow shining through red?
