ok well me and a local are swapping headlights he has 06 i have 08


will we have to swap clips or what? i already have my headlights off just wondering if any modification to bulbs are needed

Do both of you have regular bulbs or HIDs? I know that the 08 and 06 use different bukb types. Not sure how the clips look. I've never looked under the hood of an 08+ before....

 

yea hes giving me some money on top and i like the 06 housing

is he giving you a lot of cash because 05-07's are worth like 80 bucks and 08-10's are worth like 250

you dont need to switch any clips you just swap em and go

except for the bulbs being different sizes

 

oooo alrite thats cool but as to the headlights yes the bulbs are different if you have hids then just keep your harness but you need different hid bulbs, if you have halogen bulbs then you need the harness from his 08 tc and splice some wires

 

very cute. but just realize that if you decide to go the HID route in the future..you might be wishing you still had your 08's

 

If you switch lights and want to keep the halogen bulbs you are going to have to wire the 08 bulb harness to the 06 and the 06 harness to the 08.

If you want to go hid you could just get a H11 kit with 9006 bulbs and he could just get a 9006 kit with H11 bulbs. So basically just switch bulbs.
