THANKS GUYS....
i did not do the installation, but the guy said that he didnt have any problems..its plug-and-play system
ballasts are mounted with brackets, so there is no worries that they can accidently fall off
i bought them on eBay....just make sure they have warranty. Mine are called Extreme lightning system, similar to McCulloch, just a bit cheaper, i got them for about $250 i think, and i paid $75 for install, not bad.

holy hell...can you see the road at night? $75 for a 15minute job is what...$300/hr!! the installer shouldn't have a problem plugging the hid straight into you 9006 sockets...you probably will tho when the sockets and wiring melt...

grats on the 10,000k...

I have 12,000k on mine. deep purple. it's weird though that's alot for installation. I got mcculloch for 260$ other than that.. the installation is plug and play. 75$ its kind alot to plug and hide the ballast. (knowing you hide em behind the front bumper) ... but 10,000k is nice. More of blue^_^

maybe he is a HID newbie.
looks like he doesn't know what he is saying.
MAXIMUS has real HID. the cost on his headlights is priceless but if i have to count it on money, i would say $1100 at least. $300 (OEM headlight) + $300 (for projectors and angel eyes) + $300( Real HID d2 ballast + d2 bulb) + $200( labor. i know he de it by hisself. i'm just saying if i have to calculate in money )
you cannot compare his projector to $250 simulated HIDs.
everybody has their own taste.

It's never a good sign when people start flashing you because your lights are too bright...

I can always count on the max man to chime in on these posts. It so weird that I am in total agreement. Guess that's because I have too gone to the darkside of the retro. I was on my way too buying a kit untill I started seeing them around in person. Dude people are flashing you because your blinding them, although with the crappy output of 10000k, maybe your not. Either way, I'd build myself a relay harness or else prepare to spend four figures after you fry your stock wiring. And it will happen. As for the lights, I'd say to each his own and as long as you like them, accept that your decision to go glare box, is clearly affecting other people. You need to locate the verticle adjustment bolt in back of the headlight housing and rotate it clockwise to lower your lights. They will be pointing at the ground now and your output will suffer, but clearly that's not your concern, afterall you bought 10,000K lights. This way you still get bright blue lights without blinding anyone.

Well he had, isn't he selling everything for a Nissan Murano?

75 bucks for a 5 minute job. Weather shouldn't be a factor for the install nor a garage.
All you need is double sided tape and a good place to mount them ballast.

why are u saying they will fry my wires since HIds consume less power? how long whould u guess its gonna take before that can happen?
and i will adjust the bolt hopefully it will help to eliminate some glare. ALso, do they have projectors for tC yet, or they still working on it. I have heard Umnitza is in a process of making those.

after it warms up, the hid ballasts do draw less at 35w compared to the 55w of the 9006. but the startup process, where the bulbs blink and flicker and does a pretty dance with blue and purple colors, thats when they draw around 1.5 time the normal current. its this excessive current that kills your stock wiring and harness over time. buy a relay harness that draws power directly from the battery for $30-40 or make one yourself for $15. either way its cheap insurance.

there'll be people that'll tell you "i've had a plug and play kit for so and so months or years w/o a problem so STFU!" sure, your wiring and harness may not melt tomorrow, or next week or two weeks from next year, but when it does, you'll wish you spent the bucks on the relay instead of paying to fix the mess due to negligence.

Anyone have a walkthrough on how to make your own relay kit?
