12000k HID Owners!
I've decided that I want 12000k HIDs but I've noticed that most of you guys with HIDs only have 6000-1000k. I've been told that visibility in the rain will be very minimal
but the look and color of 12000k appeals to me alot :D so yea, anyone with 12000k HIDs please tell me how much you like 'em and how much brighter they are compared to stock halogens. Your help would be much appreciated!
I did search, I just found a bunch of pics of the 12000k HIDs yet no comparison over stock halogens or asking how the visibility was when driving at night while it was raining. I have my flame suit on now just incase ;)
I was super set on getting 12k HID's as well.
But the other week, I saw a Honda Accord with 12K's on the
freeway and I thought it would be neat to pace him and stare at them.
When I was driving next to him I notice that the output was only probably
a couple of feet. No way am I going to drive a car with that
less light on the road.
It seems way to risky for me.
I settled for 8K's.

I have no problem with visibility when it's raining.

That is a great mistake to make! I live in Arizona and it hardly rains. The output is better no matter what. It makes things reflect way brighter then halogens. The street signs are super bright and look purple! (Good thing for me since I have a BCP Tc and my theme colors are purple and red) I drove to Vegas in the dark they were very very productive! A lot of it has to do with where you get them. I have seen some that come with a Ballast and Fuse and way more wiring that you would want to mess with. Mine plug right into the power source of the original headlamps and work fine! If you want a super bright color then get 8 or 6 ks but 12k are better than halogen. Good luck man make sure you post reviews and pics when you get them! Remember this and everything else here is an opinion.. :o
