Default 2 weeks old... front end damage!! it was parked!

let mesum this up... Dad was going to wash out jet ski and asked me to move my car so I didn't get water marks on it from him washing ...so I backed out into the street... 5 mins later some 11 year old kid and his father were riding by and the kid rode right into my car... I had the cop come and get me a police report because the guy kept saying ... yeaa well agree on a reasonable price... my daughters boyfriend knows how to do body work... im like noooo way I can too but its an 08 im having professionals do it.. after going over the car im estimating it will cost about 2500 to fix. hood bumper and fender need paint, dent in middle of hood, dent in fender, scratch on headlight lens..

anyone know where I can buy an 08 headlight I've searched around all night could only find 0607 lights... I was also thinking of buying he RS1 lip kit while im getting stuff painted..

so mad.... ill post pics of damage later on when I get home along with numbers I get from my body shop

buy the headlights off the dealership.
I recalled seeing a couple on ebay a few weeks back but they were being sold for 600 each and eh there was no way i'd buy them at that price, especially on ebay.

I had a Lowes delivery guy drop a refrigerator on the hood of my parked car from a lift on the back of his truck. Best part was I was walking out my front door and watched it fall in slow-mo.

you can buy a new headlight from www.trdsparks.com about $200 per headlight.

new bumper is about $229 dollars msrp.

as for a hood, you can get compensated for the price of a new hood, and you can take that to get something like a nice new kaminari reverse cowl induction hood, and get it painted, or get a cf hood.

cf goes with everything.

and you don't have to get a cf hood, you could get the fiberglass hood and have it painted bsp.

Wait a second. It sounds like they were riding by on their bikes right? 2500 in damage?

You sure about that? Were they going 40mph in a pedal powered tank?

well, you can assume that they messed up the plastic bumper, which is $229 unpainted, and the hood would be...$311 again, unpainted, so your already looking at $540. not sure what the cost of painting to match is. said they broke a headlight, that is another $200, so now we are at $740. did he hit the supports for the radiator, horn, grills.

Something similar happened to me when I had my tC less than a week. Was at work, and someone backed into the front in with a tow hook.

I went to the dealer and asked who THEIR body shop was. Your car's brand new, get it done factory fresh!

Highly reccomend trdsparks for the 08 headlights and pretty much any other factory parts. I just ordered the 08 headlights from them for my 05 tc and I had them at my door within 3 days. Easiest transaction I've ever done. I have also ordered trd springs from them in the past and they arrived just as quick. The 08 cost me $199 each with about $15 shipping per light not too bad..

Yea, i dont want to go to his body shop... idk why he even mentioned that, it was stupid to say... it would have been the right thing to say if i rode my bike into his car...
people dont get it... well im going to get two more quotes, one from dealer and one from another body shop where i know the owner.

I was looking around at CF hoods... WOW didnt realize it was so expensive, any one wanna sell one? lol
